Hello @Adakiko: Theoder2055 here. This user 2409:4072:683:6E2:0:0:49B:80A1 is introducing incorrect information from the page The Legend (2022 film). Could you revert his edit and please don’t forget to warn him in the user’s talk page for introducing incorrect information. Otherwise he will continue introducing it. Now I am taking a short break from Wikipedia for a hour and I will be back soon. But then if he keeps on making disruptive edits what I suggest to block him from making disruptive editing. Under the home media heading he mentioned that satellite rights are sold to Kalaignar TV but actually it is sold to Star Vijay which is also mentioned from the source itself. I request please reply as soon as possible. Theoder2055 (talk) 11:26, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

I've had a long day of wp:RCP and am about to fall out of my chair. My apologies. Good night Adakiko (talk) 11:33, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi Adakiko, Thanks for replying. But I think you removed the content and added previous one which is double standard. You are showing Republic-TV as Hindu nationalist and not shwoing NDTV as Muslim nationalist and left wing media. You are following double standards. So, I request you to remove the content you have added and otherwise added NDTV as muslim nationalist and left-wing media. Thanks Shivam Shivam Kumar 766 (talk) 06:32, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

@Shivam Kumar 766: Republic TV is right-wing. it's sourced as right-wing and has been that way for awhile. Adakiko (talk) 07:10, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

@Adakiko: Tayseer al Jabari was a terrorist working for a terrorist organization (PIJ) that is designated a terrorist organization by the US, EU, UK, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel. If a person works for a terrorist organizaton that makes him/her a terrorist. And that is why he was WANTED by Israel. Israel doesn't kill people "for fun". He was a terrorist and he knew he is wanted. My point of view is neutral and right. Calling a terrorist in a different word encourages terrorism and hides the real severity of terrorism. Please notice that as you delete my change - you are encouraging terrorism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.229.148.235 (talk) 11:10, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

Didn't kill Shireen Abu Akleh for fun, I suppose? Adakiko (talk) 11:19, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
You can keep on and cancel my change or block me. Israel will win against those terrorists that you are calling "palestinian militans". Have a good day! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.229.148.235 (talk) 14:54, 6 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi, as some others have stated, the deleted references cannot be considered reliable sources as they do not support the claims made by the statements in the article Kadir Misiroglu. Please have a look for yourself as I did. Thank you. Wikimicky1 (talk) 02:08, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

Hello i am the guy who removed the content for germany in the white nationalist page

I removed the organizations many white nationalist organizations listed for gemany due to them being defuct/banned and the list doesn’t include for instance Nazi Party which is considered by the page on white etnostates as being white supramacist/nationalist

I removed die republicaner due to them not being overt neo-nazis. They are more similar to AfD in ideology anti-immigration and historical revisionism but not overt praise of rudolf hess for instance 86.115.93.165 (talk) 15:40, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi Adakiko. Thanks for your message. As you know, I was adding information about the songwriters to the lede. If you think this information should be removed for being unsourced, then, to be consistent, should you not also remove the same information from the categories and the infobox? 37.157.52.71 (talk) 09:58, 9 August 2022 (UTC)

Is there a source for the writers? I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Content that's been there awhile usually should be tagged with {{citation needed|date=August 2022}} If it's a wp:BLP issue, it could be removed immediately. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:05, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
I dunno, do production credits on every song need to have a citation? I can't see any citations for the claims that, for instance, "My_Ding-a-Ling" was written by Dave Bartholomew and produced by Esmond Edwards. Should those credits be removed too?
How do you make the distinction between unsourced content that gets reverted immediately, and unsourced content that "has been there a while" and can therefore stay? Could you refer me to the policy on this because I wasn't aware the length of time unsourced content is present protects it from being removed? 37.157.52.71 (talk) 10:18, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
It's stated in the first section of wp:verifiability which does not discuss length of time. See the essay WP:Content removal, specifically WP:RVREASONS which discusses removal. It states essentially, if you think a source can be found, add a citation needed tag {{cn}}. If not, delete it. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 10:25, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
So because you suggested adding {{cn}} to the "content that's been there awhile", but not my edits, essentially what you're saying is that you believe a source could not be found for the statements I added to the lede, but a source could be found for the categories and infobox - which are both parts of the article I rarely if ever see given inline citations? 37.157.52.71 (talk) 11:34, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
I did search for a source w/o success. It is generally more acceptable to remove unsourced content soon after its addition and warn that editor w/ info on how to add a citation than to add a citation needed tag. Some do expect others to search for and add a citation. See wp:BURDEN. Adakiko (talk) 11:39, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
By way of an answer you've gone back to saying length of time is somehow relevant. Now I have to ask you again to cite a policy that refers to it. 37.157.52.71 (talk) 08:16, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure how clearly it is defined. It might be best to ask at the wp:Teahouse. Much of my understanding is from admins. wp:Editing policy is a start. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 08:25, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
If you're not clear on the policy then I'm uncertain why you are enforcing it in this way?
By reverting my edit you haven't actually reduced the amount of unsourced content in the article, because it's the same content, just in a different place. You've only prevented the article being improved. Consider next time either removing all the unsourced content at once, or adding a {{cn}} tag. Thanks. 37.157.52.71 (talk) 13:00, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

I'm doing wp:RCP, not full-article analysis. See previous edit. Suggest asking at the wp:Teahouse. Adakiko (talk) 20:28, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

Lydia Brown OCD source

Lydia Brown has said multiple times on their Twitter account that they have OCD.[1][2][3]

Twitter may not be a reliable source on its own, but this Lydia Brown's own Twitter account. I've seen statements from Twitter used as a source before, so I think this should be enough. 2601:2C6:827F:7C50:B5DC:D264:B468:E653 (talk) 06:21, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

"Openly gay" discussion

FYI, this is being discussed here. I'm on the fence as to whether or not it's disruptive, leaning toward "yes, it's disruptive to systematically apply this change, even if "openly" is not necessary." OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:01, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

@Ohnoitsjamie: Oops, I rolled back quite a few of his edits. I didn't see the link to BLPN. Should I undo my rollbacks? Adakiko (talk) 22:06, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
Maybe not yet? As I said, I'm leaning toward feeling like it's disruptive, akin to WP:NOTBROKEN. Feel free to chime in on the discussion at BLP.OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:07, 10 August 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Adakiko,

Please do not give instructions to an inexperienced editor on speedy deleting a main space redirect to replace it with a declined Draft article. The draft is in no shape to be moved to main space and I blocked the editor from this main space page for a few days. I appreciate you reverting their cut and paste moves but you probably should have checked out the Draft article before recommending it be moved to main space. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 06:42, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

@Liz: I agree. I undid the anon's c&p moves of the draft four times and left the anon several warnings and suggestions. Ahated suggested adding the speedy and the anon c&p moved and added the speedy. I was getting to wit's end, I reverted a fifth time and told the anon to just add the speedy without the c&p move. My apology. Adakiko (talk) 06:51, 11 August 2022 (UTC)

From another patroller

Johndoe2636 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) Hello, I had run into the first edit by this editor, and went back today to see whether they had done anything more. I don't know what you usually do, but I usually report them if they make three edits in a row which are obvious vandalism or spam, and make no edits which could be good faith attempts to improve the encyclopaedia. This seems to be enough to meet any admin's definition of a VOA. Cheerio, and keep up the good work! Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 07:40, 13 August 2022 (UTC)

@Mako001: I should have followed up. I got distracted by the next edit that popped up on screw theory. Had to read the article and forgot about Johndoe. I usually add "NOTHERE" or vandalism-only account to the AIV report for something like this. Thanks for following up! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 08:29, 13 August 2022 (UTC)
Don't thank me! I only followed up two days later.

Edit to Credit Suisse

Hello. Please don't label edits that add unsourced information as "incorrect" – or use a template to that effect – unless you're sure that they are. Otherwise, feel free to use {{Uw-unsourced}}. Please also be careful when reverting an edit that was itself a reversion of another edit, as it could've been made for good reason. Thanks. Quandarie10:38, 2022-08-13

Regarding an IP editor who removes "infobox needed" templates and such

I think you might like to read this, regarding someone you have encountered, and almost certainly will encounter again:

There is a fairly active IP editor, on 2A02:C7D:8000:0:0:0:0:0/33 (and occasionally on other IPs like 90.198.188.0), who you may have encountered whilst on RC patrol.

Mainly I've seen them removing unnecessary "infobox needed" templates, but they also do other stuff as well. I can confirm that they are a good faith contributor, and although they mostly remember to use an edit summary, they do leave them off every so often. However, if you know who they are and how they work, then you can at least tell that they aren't here to cause trouble, and can let the edit stand. They aren't very talkative, but did seem to respond to a concern I raised a few times on their talkpage. If you ever see an IP randomly dump a bunch of infoboxes on another IPs user talkpage, it's almost definitely this editor creating the infoboxes before adding them to their respective pages.

If they remove a tagged empty section, please remind them that it isn't helpful to do so (though this seems to be the only problematic edits I've seen from them, and they are a substantial net positive).

I hope this helps with patrolling accuracy, and avoids unnecessary reverts (I've done it a couple of times as "unexplained deletion" before I realised that they were actually doing the right thing).

Mako001 (C)  (T)  🇺🇦 05:05, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

@Mako001: Thanks. I reverted some like that as I couldn't figure out why the "infobox needed" tag removed as there was no infobox. Then they the edits started to make sense and stopped reverting. It appears to have an effect as they added an infobox and removed the infobox needed tag again.
For some reason, I thought that anon was the article's sole editor on Draft:Maladkal. Thanks for catching that! Probably should have signed off earlier. Cheers.

Irreversible Damage

I disagree that my revision is not from a neutral point of view. The phrase “not backed by credible scientific evidence” is inherently misleading to readers. The rapid rise in teens identifying as trans is a new phenomenon. Lisa Littman’s research suggests it is a social contagion but the reality is we don’t know. 2600:1009:B008:2E13:B9AC:D2E9:B7E1:6AF6 (talk) 14:25, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence
I appreciate your diligence, very much. I'm kind of new at this, and I don't have any connections in the community yet. I know my issue was fairly trivial, but any revert that seems arbitrary, without an explanation is very disturbing to me. You understood the problem and resolved it. There are some 3RR exemptions but they do not apply for the issue at this article. I don't see any mention of an article 109. There are no citations in the Verkhovna Rada#Presidium section. Adakiko (talk) 08:28, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
The citation is of the 1978 Constitution of the Ukrainian SSR. Article 109, Section 1 of that document states that the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada may amend laws when the Verkhovna Rada is not in session and that such changes require the subsequent approval of the Verkhovna Rada. Edit to Crime in South Africa

Thank you for your concern about correct citation on my edits to Crime in South Africa. As context, I maintain the table of murder rates in the Crime in South Africa#Murder section, which has a long list of references. I noticed however that the previous version of the chart at the top of the page had been replaced with one which is factually incorrect, showing a huge spike in murder rate.

The description of that image contained three references, the first of which was not resolving, the second showing information which is different from the description (the article cites 67 people murdered per day, while the description incorrectly changes this to 67 people per 100,000. The last reference seemed to be OK and contains a chart showing the same values for murder rate in my new chart for 1915-2017, so I kept that. The only values in the chart not visible in the chart shown in the cited reference are the murder rates for 2018-2021 which I obtained from the table in the Murder section (via those references). How do you propose that I cite this table? Or should I re-cite them again in this area? Also, I see now that you also reverted my edit to the table, which included direct citations to the information I added. Chthonicdaemon (talk) 12:53, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Follow-up: I have used named references for the 2018-2021 data, which I could repeat in both the figure title and the table title. Note that these references now cover the entire time period of the figure as well as the table. Chthonicdaemon (talk) 13:46, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

We came to an agreement that the 20 tallest towers should be left as in the other Wikipedia entries that have up to the 40 tallest towers in the country. In addition, we also clearly wrote that we add trop out towers. Like hi tower and the seven star tower which is already starting to be inhabited. I explained it and you probably didn't see, please reproduce my edit. Fun71528 (talk) 13:25, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

AEIOU

The AEIOU may not be well known in the English-speaking world, but it is certainly very well known in the Catholic world for its association with the Habsburg dynasty. The Casa d'Austria has included South America, Mexico, Naples, Milan, Belgium, Spain and, at times, Portugal. The AEIOU is part of the Casa d'Austria ... So it is clearly world famous. Whether you like it or not.

Legoland New York

Hello, in my recent edits to Legoland New York, you may have noticed reliable sources being removed. But if you look at the location of these sources, they happen to be in the lead and infobox. Which I was trying to update in accordance with MOS:LEADCITE as well as WP:INFOBOXREF. Which state that references should not be needed if the same sourced information is repeated in the body, and if the article is less likely to be challenged. Following this, I compared the current sources available in both the lead/infobox and body, and chose the most reliable ones. Therefore removing some citations and replacing them with better ones in other parts of the article. As for the unreliable sources, they already have redundant sources already present. So {{Unreliable source?}} is not needed. I am sorry for the confusion and the lack of explanation, and will remember to clarify these changes in the future. VarietyEditor (talk) 18:32, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

@VarietyEditor: Thanks for the note and thank you for fixing the article. I have set my preferences Editing -> Editor to prompt me if I'm leaving a blank edit summary. Annoying, but it works. Thanks again, and my apology for undoing your edit! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 21:08, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

Grover Furr

I did not add any new information, I simply removed propaganda from the article. No new sources are needed. 184.170.174.108 (talk) 21:09, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

You added that John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr are pseudo-historians. Not sourced. Adakiko (talk) 21:10, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

An IP editor was edit-warring, and then registered a new account. You and I knew that. The new account has now submitted Draft:Lim Yi Wei, which appears to be almost the same as the article, and maybe contains the changes that they were trying to edit-war. I have declined it because there is already an article, and submission of a draft is not intended as a way of making changes to an article, and I have told them to discuss on the article talk page. I think you noticed that they made a comment that implies that they are working for Lim. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:50, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

@Robert McClenon: I saw that draft. Should it be tagged with a {{Db-a10|article=Lim_Yi_Wei}} WP:A10? Cheers Adakiko (talk) 20:00, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
No. A10 is only in article space, not for drafts that duplicate article space. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:05, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Hey

For This revert, did you look at the source before calling it reliable? The removal is right, it's a blog or self-published gossip site. Looks like it mainly exists to pirate british soaps, actually. FrederalBacon (talk) 05:41, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

@FrederalBacon: Thanks for the heads up. I assumed dailynewsbbc.com was part of the BBC. I removed it and the "under the radar" part. Thanks again Adakiko (talk) 05:56, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

September 2022

Hello @Adakiko: sir, This user Ljgv is continuously making disruptive edits in the Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva page. Currently he is adding unsourced material in Dhokha: Round D Corner despite getting several warnings.

For the Lord's sake, be a believer and respect my right to contact a user who reverts my edits.

Are you a believer? It is a talk page! Just read the Bible. Wikipedia is a jail, But the Lord, whose Name is Jealous, is a Jealous God. The Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make His Face shine upon you, The Lord turn His face towards you and give you Peace! 88.155.103.36 (talk) 08:06, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

The bible says that Wikipedia is a "jail"? That's hilarious! Reference, please? Adakiko (talk) 08:09, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

I deleted citations needed, & was going to add the related references, but before I could add that, the page published changes. Anyways, I have added relevant citations/references, hence the matter is resolved now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.211.128.122 (talk) 05:58, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

paprika

Hi Adakiko, thank you for your message. Re my recent change on paprika: I updated the IPA transcriptions using the OED for both US and UK so that they now use the same source and include all variants included in the source (removing the unncessary comment on commonness). I changed the accompanying American/British English label to US/UK for the sake of concision in the lead. I removed the audio since the British audio file was clearly a non-native performance and, more importantly, did not accurately represent the transcription. The American performance in the audio also did not sound representative. I would be grateful if you could restore my changes in whole or in part. Best wishes. 2.98.59.68 (talk) 12:58, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

The "speaker" is actually a computer voice. I think it's a clearer pronunciation than most. Do you think the pronunciation is incorrect? Adakiko (talk) 13:11, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
Oh, are you sure it's a computer voice? They don't sound computer-generated to me. The Wikimedia pages don't explicitly say so; they both say "own work" and, in fact, the US one says it was made using Voice Recorder implying that it is a real voice. (In addition to which, there is plenty of background noise and what sounds the click of a mouse to end the recording in both versions.) The US file doesn't sound incorrect per se but comes across as very unnatural in its intonation. The UK version, however, clearly has an American accent even if the categories are close to the intended target; the second vowel though is certainly much tenser (= higher, fronter) than it ought to be to agree with the transcription. 2.98.59.68 (talk) 13:38, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
If you click on the tiny loudspeaker symbol, you can get the "about": File:En-Paprika (American).oga and File:En-uk-paprika.oga they were uploaded about 2016 and have been on that article since at least 2019. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 13:43, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
Does that necessarily make them good samples though? The US one is fine, I suppose, but the UK one isn't. Do you have any objection my reasoning for the other aspects of my edit, by the way? 2.98.59.68 (talk) 13:48, 22 September 2022 (UTC)
I'll leave it up to you. The UK pronunciation on wikt:paprika is the same recording. Thanks for the discussion! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 13:58, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

  • Thanks. But that's the formatting of a ref. Not the removal of textual content. And, as you gathered, purely marketing embedded in the ref formatting. Plus - you removed a series of edits. All good. And only one in the series had that -- so I see no reason whatsoever even suggested for the revert of the other edits. 2603:7000:2143:8500:ED10:865D:2860:6E77 (talk) 09:53, 27 September 2022 (UTC)

RE: Content Removal

Hi, you recently restored the content at this link. I made that edit purposely as I would like to clear specific details about the organization discussed, in order to avoid the appearance of impropriety. I have recently requested a global name change and will be abandoning this account, and would prefer not to have my mistake live on the internet forever. Thanks in advance for clearing the text again, I appreciate it. I won't be making such specific requests in the future. Copiri (talk) 07:25, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

@Copiri: Removing other's talk is considered bad practice. See WP:TPO. Your edits are saved in the wp:page history and editing them out won't remove them. Adakiko (talk) 07:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
Can I remove mine? That's the important part. Copiri (talk) 07:32, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
@Copiri: Generally, no as it would make the reply confusing. You could ask the person who replied for permission to remove it. Then, you could remove both. Just add a link to where permission was given in the wp:edit summary. Otherwise, someone else will likely undo your removal. Something like "Removed with permission from Adakiko - see [[user talk:Adakiko#RE: Content Removal]]" Substitute the "user talk:Adakiko#RE: Content Removal" with the user's name and the section "RE: Content Removal". Note that the section (which follows the "#" must be exact in text and case. Use the wp:Show preview button and right click on it on the preview over the edit summary to see if it works! of Montreal fix

Hello there! As of last nights edit of the of Montreal band page, I didn't mean to remove anything, and if I accidently did without noticing, I apologise. All I meant to do was fix the odd pronoun here and there. I am currently reading Endless Endless, a book that features extensive interviews with Kevin Barnes and use they/them pronouns on Kevin's request. Upon doing some further digging, I saw most interviews posted of Kevin's coming-out as nonbinary use they/them as well, and just thought the article should reflect that. Not sure what I removed but it wasn't intentional. I'll add a citation for the book as well. Thank you! JesseAF13 (talk) 23:44, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

Editing Public Service Announcement Tour

Adakiko- I am the one who made that update regarding Rage against the Machines Public Service Announcement tour. I have never updated a wiki page before, so I'm new to all this. But you deleted my comment because I failed to provide a citation. If you go to the bands Instagram page, Zack released a statement regarding the cancellation of the rest of the tours because of his leg injury. Lord Jones of Self-Serving

Couldn't have put it better myself. I've been trying to trim the fat from Digby Jones, Baron Jones of Birmingham, and frankly a lot of it did seem to be self-serving. (For example, "served in the Royal Navy" to describe "getting paid by them to be a law student".) If you have any thoughts on how further to do so, I'd be suitably appreciative. OTOH, given that you presumably only noticed this at all due to RC-patrolling, up to you of course! 109.255.211.6 (talk) 04:34, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

There don't seem to be many news articles out there that don't lay it on. Were these stories published by Marvel Comics, by chance? Adakiko (talk) 05:16, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
His notability is that he's a loudmouthed right-wing talking head that keeps popping up on UK broadcast media. That stuff's readily verifiable. The question is I suppose how much basic biographic info it needs as an framework to support what would otherwise be "List of crass and ill-thought-out things Digby Jones has said." 109.255.211.6 (talk) 05:30, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Maybe that's all there is to him? Much is "Hire(s) Talking-head Jones". Adakiko (talk) 11:25, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Yes indeed, lots of "after-dinner speaking circuit" websites. Nothing further's leaping out at me as 'this needs to go' right now. Might leave it for a while and see if anyone else further (dis)improves it. 109.255.211.6 (talk) 14:34, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

October 2022 Gordon Williamson

Hello, I'm Adakiko. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Gordon Williamson (writer) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 11:01, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is clear that neither you nor K.e.coffman read the article, and just reverted it. Can you point out in detail the parts that you consider to not be neutral. Unnecessarily (talk) 11:40, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Should I assume by your lack of response, that you agree that there is only one less than neutral edit, and it was not mine. Unnecessarily (talk) 14:37, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
You should rather assume WP:NOTCOMPULSORY and WP:NODEADLINE. 109.255.211.6 (talk) 15:12, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

Wendel disambiguation addition, Steely Dan

Hi, you reverted an edit I made to the Wendel disambiguation page (I am new to Wikipedia editing). As you said, the name Wendel, surprisingly, is never mentioned on the regular page for the band. It gets mentioned on the article for their studio album Gaucho, for which it was a vital piece of recording equipment. Should I link to the section in the Gaucho page where it's mentioned, or should I link to the band and the album, or some other permutation? 2601:248:C480:9F70:E0D5:9FD2:381D:88E5 (talk) 03:26, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

I'll ask an expert!

@Hey man im josh: Wendel is a drum machine mentioned on Gaucho (album)#Drum recording. I reverted this addition to the DAB page Wendel. I did not see any mention of a Wendel on the Steely Dan article. Should this be included on the DAB Wendel? As a pipe [[Gaucho (album)#Drum recording|Wendel]]? Via a redirect? Not at all? Thanks Adakiko (talk) 09:43, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

I agree with not linking to Steeley Dan if there's no mention at the target article. I also agree with its inclusion in the DAB page with your alternative link, but with a different description than the one you removed. The machine is absolutely notable based on its description at the target. I think Wendel (drum machine) would be an appropriate redirect so I've gone ahead and created it. Sock account

Hello. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/WinniethePooh136 is a sock account of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Otto_von_Saxony. They both have an obsession with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_for_the_2022_Brazilian_presidential_election, flatly refusing to acknowledge the slew of concerns about the poll in question, primarily the fact that it never has been used before and Pablothepenguin's genuine arguments that it is quite possibly fake. Furthermore, Winnie threatened Pablo on his talk page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Pablothepenguin#Final_Warning

Oh now i see! Thank you. I've bookmarked your edit for next time so I know what info to add. Knitsey (talk) 15:53, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
@Knitsey: You are welcome! Take a look at user:adakiko under "warning templates". Feel free to copy the templates. There is probably a better user-page out there. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 15:56, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
You're a star, thank you for being so helpful. Knitsey (talk) 15:59, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
I should have added to check out wp:RCP! Adakiko (talk) 16:05, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

Early Man edit

Hello Adakiko, allow me to introduce myself as the editor whose edit you reverted on the article about Early Man. I think you didn't see the edit I made and you reverted it and wrote to me that I didn't provide a "reliable source", so I had edited the article and bought back the edit this time being sourced to Behind The Voice Actors who keep a track on the cast. What I edited was that Rob Brydon also voiced the character Gonad The Gaul, who (if you don't know the character) is the Bronze City's team's fullback and the one who has a mowhawk and I included the Bronze City's football team's name which was Real Bronzio. You may not believe me but I myself have watched the movie and heard the name. If you want proof you can watch the full movie at Netflix or any other movie website/app. Behind The Voice Actors has a checkmark on the characters images and if you click the tick it'll show you the end credits and you will see near additional voices it is written that Rob Brydon did voice Gonad The Gaul. It will be like this (forgive me for being like an idiot by showing you how he is credited in the end credits):

GONAD THE GAUL ROB BRYDON 69.94.36.145 (talk) 11:56, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

I see that you added an inline citation for Gonad the Gaul to Early Man (film). Thank you! A source should be added as an wp:inline citation. The citations are for others to verify content and to find out more about the topic. Putting it in the wp:edit summary might be OK for someone (like me) doing an initial check, but others are unlikely to look through the wp:page history to see if the source is there. This would be much appreciated!

If you would please, avoid wp:BAREURLs? There is a tool help:referencing for beginners, that allows for easy citation creation. People do like to know where they are going when they click. Bare URLs makes that a bit difficult if they don't know what the URL is.

Please add a link to the article you are refering too. Early Man wasn't edited from this IP (69.94.36.145), so I had to do a bit of guessing to find it.

Thanks again for adding the source! Cheers Adakiko (talk) 13:26, 19 October 2022 (UTC)
