@Berrely: I'd recommend that you look at the Good article criteria and review articles against is (using a provided template) with prose comments in a separate section. A GA review, especially for an article as long as mine, needs to be more than just a rubber-stamp. When a review is hastily done like this, the article has to be resubmitted and moved down to the bottom of the queue, which means an even longer wait. Flag of Provo

Hi, there. I'm the one who uploaded the SVG of the flag of Provo which you requested to be deleted. I'm new to uploading stuff to Wikipedia and I simply wanted to switch the original flag PNG with an SVG so that people could easily download and alter it. I catagorized it as a Fair Use Symbol as I didn't know how to otherwise do it. If you would like to upload the image with the correct information, I can send it to you. @HyperActive1DUK: I've already saved the Commons copy and can re-upload it to Wikipedia proper once the deletion process is taken care of. I'd just like to know where you got the source data...did you create the SVG yourself in Inkscape/Illustrator based on the raster, or did you use pre-existing vector assets? Bruce, I cannot find any counter-indication to including an updated accessdate for a linked news article. is this a MOS thing you can point to? Your rollback also overwrote a grammer correction. @Jwfowble: The citation in question has no URL, thus no accessdate. Instances of an offline source with an accessdate bring up flags and are placed in this tracking category, so we'd like to avoid that for a WP:GAN like this article. Look, I don't want to undo all of your edits, but there has to be consistency with the existing or majority text—otherwise readers get confused at the switch in styles. Nobody is doing speed and carelessness. As the data for the two lines is reported in aggregate to the historical source, it's unlikely to be reported separated out like that anymore. @Jasper Deng: I saw a notification about 3RR, but I've only used the revert/undo once. I think the majority of my edits are being undid/reverted by SounderBruce here, who has used that feature 5 in the article. I've explained in the talk section why the traditional source of statistics appears to be for the combined system this past. As ridership data has been important to include for the past decade, I see no reason to not include the annual ridership data that's available now, particularly if a different source is likely to be needed going forward.

@Jwfowble: Please WP:INDENT your comments correctly instead of just putting them on the left (I have done it for you for the second time). I shouldn't spend too much time on this, but reverting edits in part also counts as a revert. The point is, since you do not have consensus to insert that information, the status quo (which was without that information) has to be maintained until then. See WP:BRD. @Jasper Deng:I've had far more of my good-faith attempts to add to the knowledge base here reverted in the interest of making things less accessible. A URL to a newspaper article is worth keeping for ease of access. In the SLU article talk page Bruce said he'd prefer an "updated version of the SDOT Streetcar Report, which should include daily ridership" and yet I make an attempt to use that ridership data on the other streetcar line, first hill, and it gets reverted by bruce as well. I'm trying to incorporate the two sources I've found for 2017 ridership for the separate lines (something that is combined here in this page, but commented out) and it seems like there's repeatedly an excuse to exclude the published data. If it's a formatting thing, lets' talk it out, but this wholesale reversion is wasting a lot of my research time.

@SounderBruce:Ok, Bruce, if a URL resolves to a valid article, even if the title may be changed, is it really destructive to have the citation for the newspaper article also go to the URL, payall or not? With scientific journals, that is OK even though they're more severely paywalled than the seattle times.

Also, if we're not going to get separated streetcar ridership numbers from the APTA reports (2017 they just have combined numbers), can I at least update the hidden section of the table with this SDOT data for the single value we do have that is separated, the annual ridership? I’ve reworded the last paragraphs, which personally I feel is being a bit pedantic. The information was included to highlight that whilst the building has been vacant for over 18years it still evokes strong community feelings, as reflected by the postal strike. WikiCup 2019 March newsletter

And so ends the first round of the competition. Everyone with a positive score moves on to Round 2. With 56 contestants qualifying, each group in Round 2 contains seven contestants, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for Round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining contestants.

Our top scorers in Round 1 were:

L293D, a WikiCup newcomer, led the field with ten good articles on submarines for a total of 357 points.
Adam Cuerden, a WikiCup veteran, came next with 274 points, mostly from eight featured pictures, restorations of artwork.
MPJ-DK, a wrestling enthusiast, was in third place with 263 points, garnered from a featured list, five good articles, two DYKs and four GARs.
Usernameunique came next at 243, with a featured article and a good article, both on ancient helmets.
Squeamish Ossifrage was in joint fifth place with 224 points, mostly garnered from bringing the 1937 Fox vault fire to featured article status.
Ed! was also on 224, with an amazing number of good article reviews (56 actually).

These contestants, like all the others, now have to start scoring points again from scratch. Between them, contestants completed reviews on 143 good articles, one hundred more than the number of good articles they claimed for, thus making a substantial dent in the review backlog. Well done all!

Remember that any content promoted after the end of Round 1 but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. MLS Cup 2018

Sir,

I restored my edit to the MLS Cup 2018 article on grounds that "played indoors" was relevant to the game where the weather outdoors was not relevant to the game. The weather outside during the game would have resulted in a materially different outcome; the game itself was not played in 40-degree conditions; and I was there - it was not "overcast," there was a full heavy and sustained rainshower going on outside the stadium, which again would have affected the game.

Saw you re-reverted. Whatever. I guess I have to be part of the approved-editors club to make a change since the edit you're preserving is factually incorreect ("overcast" is not the same as "rainshowers"). I don't care. I'm going off what is in the match reports and other cited sources, per WP:V, and precedent set by almost all soccer and sports articles on the site. @Trillfendi: I don't think that the article currently includes all of the necessary aspects of the bidding process (including details from each finalist, an overview of notable bids that failed to be finalists, and the bid incentives provided by each finalist) and it currently reads very roughly because of the way it was constructed in piecemeal fashion. I would also caution against nominating it prematurely, or at least until construction begins on the physical HQ, as plans are not necessarily stable until then. Unfortunately many of the finalists who had absolutely no chance still have their bids and financial details of it fortified because they want to use it again (which makes no sense if you think about it). While the reasons for the gender gap are up for debate, the practical effect of this disparity is not: content is skewed by the lack of representation from women.

Let’s change that.

To help change this, the Jacob Lawrence Gallery is continuing a series of Edit-a-thons to improve Wikipedia's coverage of womxn and gender non-binary artists of color.

Access dates for print sources

Hi. Regarding this edit, it's my understanding that access dates are only needed for sources that might be altered over time. The documentation of Template:Cite book says that access dates are "[n]ot required for linked documents that do not change", such as published books and research papers. Because the Google Books and HathiTrust links point to scans of physical sources, including access dates for them does not have any utility IMO.
