Disambiguation link notification for August 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Burgess (title), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Freeman. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Kashmir Valley

Hi, Good Afternoon The information I had added to the page Kashmir Valley is United Nations 🇺🇳 general secretary’s statement. That information is 100% right, I’m damn sure about it. Thank you. Sophielll (talk) 21:16, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

Hey there, Wikipedia requires a neutral point of view when editing. If you want to add it back, I'd suggest stating it something like "something which the UN General Secretary has called illegal" and citing reliable secondary sources of him saying that (a news article for instance). Thank you for reaching out instead of re-adding it! Fun Is Optional (talk) 21:21, 1 September 2022 (UTC)

Dr. Frances Cress Welsing

Hello,

I recently edited the page of Dr. Frances Cress Welsing. I updated the first sentence to read as follows: "...was an American psychiatrist who emphasized the need for Black people to obtain self-respect as a means to combat racism."

The edit was reversed back to the original, which labels Dr. Welsing as a black supremacist. Having read her work and listened to countless interviews and lectures, I know this claim is false. No where does she suggest, let alone state, that black people are superior to white people, nor that white people should be mistreated (because, historically, when a group of people deem themselves superior, they seek to harm the groups that are inferior).

Perhaps I do not understand what is meant by "black supremacy" so any explanation you could provide would be helpful. I know Wikipedia tries its best to be neutral, and I think it succeeds most of the time.

Thanks for your time and take care,

Hello, some of the sources cited in the article describe her as a "black supremacist", including the Washington Post (source 2) and no sources have described her as what you suggested. Please also remember that Wikipedia prohibits original research in articles as it is unverifiable. If you can find reliable sources that state that Dr. Welsing was not a black supremacist (or similar) then you are free to re-edit the article citing these sources. Thank you for reaching out instead of immediately re-adding the content! Fun Is Optional (talk) 00:57, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
