Include Stephen Curry's 2016/2017 stats, and make sure it says when the warriors won 72 games vs the spurs Curry scored 37 its not 27 its

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. -- Dane talk 03:41, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
If you're referring to the Warriors' game against the Spurs on April 7, 2016 - Curry did correctly have 27 points, per the source provided there [1]. Other than that, "27 points" is not mentioned anywhere else in the article so I'm not sure what else you could be referring to. DaHuzyBru (talk) 04:27, 15 April 2017 (UTC)

No where on the article says anything about winning MVP 2015-2016 season and going 73-9. Hunterdog25 (talk) 23:09, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

@Hunterdog25: Have a read of the "Unanimous MVP (2015–16)" section. It details the 73-win season and notes that Curry "was named the league's first ever unanimous MVP" in 2016. DaHuzyBru (talk) 03:45, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Under career highlights and awards at the top of the page I noticed it does not list that he was the 2011 Nba skills challenge champion. While looking up other winners of the award it lists this achievement under their career highlights and awards like on Tony Parkers page for example. It most certainly should be added to the career highlights and awards section because while first viewing Curry's wiki page I did not realize that he was a recipient of the award until I was reading under the professional career tab. Goldenstatechamps (talk) 01:55, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

@Goldenstatechamps: Per WP:NBASTYLE in the "Infobox highlights" section, Skills Challenge champion is not listed there. To be fair, it is a very minor award and has been added a number of times in the past and then removed again. Curry has many achievements that have superseded such an award i.e. back in 2011, that award bared weight to Curry, but in 2017, it means very little compared to his other achievements (all-star, first team, mvp, champion etc). The Skills Challenge champion award is listed in the Awards and honors section of Curry's article, along with many others that are not in the infobox. The infobox shouldn't contain clutter and/or an overabundance of awards – only the most prominent ones! DaHuzyBru (talk) 04:32, 25 April 2017 (UTC)

I understand its listed in awards and honors but whether you consider thos a minor achievement or not this is a legitimate nba award and anyone else with equally illustrious careers who has won the skills challenge has it listed Goldenstatechamps (talk) 00:58, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

Listed in the info box, jus look up anyone else who has won the award which is why I mentioned Tony Parker cus we all know his achievements are very lengthy. Id forsure add it but I cant lol Goldenstatechamps (talk) 01:00, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

@Goldenstatechamps: It's a case of WP:OTHERCONTENT. Ideally, it should be mentioned in the body (and sourced) and not in the infobox. Cheers.—Bagumba (talk) 01:50, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

I disagree it's a prominent award and should be listed in the infobox. Your link to the argument aside literally every other winner has it listed in their info box including Dwayne Wade and his info box award list is longer than stephs and the award is even older. Many nba fanatics love allstar weekend and should know at first glance of Curry's page that he has won the award. Goldenstatechamps (talk) 07:56, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Steph

I'm not sure how this is normally done, but there's basically no mention of calling him ‘Steph’ (which the basketball fans in my family always say), so I added something up top. It should get a proper citation, but I can't find anything really reliable through Google, and sports isn't really my field. ―Toby Bartels (talk) 03:54, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

I've added this, something like the article Jeremiah Wright. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 02:23, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
I reverted for now. People redirected from Steph Curry should not be astonished to find that he is named Stephen. The "called" format doesnt seem like a standard, and Steph is not his WP:COMMONNAME (or start an WP:RM if consensus has changed). At best we could list both "Stephen Curry" and "Steph Curry" in the lead, but that seems somewhat repetitive.—Bagumba (talk) 02:42, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
I appreciate the good faith assumption. My edit summary was a little confusing; I meant that there should be some mention in the article of his being called Steph. Going quickly through news results, it appears to be used about a third of the time, maybe more. Listing both does seem clunky, and I'm not sure what the best thing to be done is. --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 02:49, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
(Mostly, I'm trying to figure out which of the scenarios in MOS:NICKNAME this is: John Edwards, Sandro Botticelli, or in between?) --Hameltion (talk, contribs) 02:58, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
It's sometimes suitable to list the name of the article title if it differs from the person's full name. The problem with "Step" is that it's not one of his given names, nor the name of the title.—Bagumba (talk) 03:46, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

I think it would be really good to add a "golf" section to this page, perhaps under 'Personal Life'. It seems worthy of discussion that one of Steph's major hobbies is playing golf (along with teammate Andre Iguodala), and that Steph has actually competed not only in celebrity tournaments (he got 4th at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament this weekend) but now a professional tournament (the Web.com tour Ellie Mae Classic), where he shot 74 in the first round, performing better than even many professional golfers competing in the tournament. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.216.155.126 (talk) 05:38, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

Please change date for Sony announcement to April 23rd, 2018. You said the company was named Unanimous because he was a unanimous mvp. Please change that Curry became the unanimous mvp to sweep the award in 2016.
