Hello,
I submitted an draft page for Fr. William Casey of Abbeyfeale - and I received the following response: "This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule"

I have looked at the guideless for notability and I don't understand why he is not notable, I submitted a list of books written about Fr William Casey, he was a prominent figure in the Irish Land League movement for Co. Limerick in the 1870's and 1880's. There is a statue erected of him in the town of Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick - over 12,000 people attended it's unveiling in 1908. There already is a Wikipedia page approved of the GAA team he created https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_Casey%27s_GAA - so I do not understand why my article on his life has not been approved? Is the GAA team he created notable but he is not?
- The comment doesn't say that he's not notable. It says that you haven't provided evidence of his notability. Indeed, the article itself includes no citations at all to support its statements. Ideally, each significant statement in the article should be immediately followed by a reference to a published work that supports that statement. Maproom (talk) 09:16, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
Hi, my username is paladium.
The sources of the draft are considered "not reliable". I don't understand what it means. And how can i solve this.
It's the only flaw of the draft? if the draft has reliable source can become an article?

This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability.
I am concerned about this decision about my Draft. As a not so young new editor struggling to understand all the rules etc.
It seems that, as I am a grandson, it is more difficult for me to write this article. But only I have the Scrapbook of the original press and Photos (that I have recently uploaded to my own website), so please could someone assist by looking at my website where there are photographs of newspaper cuttings, photographs and British Pathe Videos.

The Reason I believe my Grandfather is notable is because: - Joseph Cohen (amongst other things), provided International, National and local News to the British public, by being the Pioneer of Provincial News Theatres and by subsequently acquiring several in Central London. Furthermore, with his son George Cohen they introduced the specialised Continental cinemas that showed the best feature films from the continent that otherwise would never have been available.

- What you need to provide is citations, within the article, of discussions of Joseph Cohen in reliable independent published sources. If your scrapbook contains relevant newspaper cuttings (including the date and the name of the newspaper), you can cite these newspapers. Maproom (talk) 16:21, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
