February 10[edit]

Hi,

I submitted my first article on new age artist Joanna Eunice "Juno" V. Paruñgao and got declined. It stated "lacks verifiable references". I'm not sure if the problem is the referenced materials themselves, or the way it is formatted that it cannot be verified. Also, I seem to be unclear on the difference between notes and references. I thought the former is like a brief footnote, while the latter is the more complete biblio. Are they supposed to be different? Any clarification, tips or advise is greatly appreciative. ThanksSiteit (talk) 03:39, 10 February 2014 (UTC) Siteit[reply]

Certainly the way the references are formatted is a problem, many are given as just a surname and date, not even the title of the publication that the reference can be found in. That's not to say that if we could identify your references they would be OK. Have a look at Help:Referencing for beginners. Rankersbo (talk) 19:42, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Query regarding rejection of article[edit]

Hi,

I submitted an article containing information regarding a community organisation, the same had been rejected because of lack of notability even though I included two links with regard to the subject. I am including one more link that gives an idea about one of the raising star from the community. Please do let me know if i have to give any more specific information. I would appreciate wikipedia if the same is included the earliest possible time.

I have marked that page for speedy deletion, as its entire text is copy and pasted from an external website. This is not acceptable. More information can be found at Wikipedia:COPYPASTE. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:57, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

My article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Property Of... was declined and I'm wondering why. Could you please let me know?

Regards, Property Of Property Of (talk) 08:53, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Property Of... was declined for the reasons given in and under the pink box on that page.
I would also note that descriptions like "understated and timeless" are unduly promotional wording.
Finally, you should read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 12:52, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please can you remove the link below, regarding the two rejections as a matter of urgency? I am still in the process of writing/correcting the copy for the page and I am having difficulty with getting the format correct and standardized for your approval. I hope to have the new material ready and submitted for your approval soon. I'm in the process of re-submitting the article to Wikipedia, and as it was rejected twice, I am trying my best to make the changes required and suggested. However I'm surprised that this is publicly accessible.

Please can you explain why this link is public especially since the submission process is incomplete? It would have been more useful if you contacted me prior to the link below being made public. I would also be grateful for your assistance in outlining the areas of my previous submissions which failed to meet your approval and how I can remedy these.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello Wikipedian, My Name is "Mohamed Baghdady. PMP" and I am the author the "Wholesss Assessment Model". linkedin.com/in/mohamedbaghdady

This model came to light as an answer to an "Innocentive" challenge: https://www.innocentive.com/ar/workspace/challengeDetail/524875?challenge=9933411

where current methods of evaluating data/information is so complicated and impractical that make them far away of business investment usage.

Stub created[edit]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/GIOVANNI FONTANA (poet) was about to be deleted as no work had been done on it for six months. An editor extracted sourced material and created a stub. The draft is no longer needed. Thanks Span (talk) 13:08, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, How do we know if the article we have submitted is being reviewed, rejected or accepted ?

Best, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yoan vidoni (talkcontribs) 19:34, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You can see the box at the top of the article:
  • If no one has reviewed it yet, it will say "Review waiting".
  • If someone has declined it, it will say "Submission declined" (and most likely you will get a message on your talk page).
However:
  • If someone has accepted it, the article will be redirected to a title that does not have "Wikipedia" in it, and the review box will be removed. (You will also probably get a message on your talk page.)
One last thing: User accounts must be used by a single person. If multiple people are editing, please take the time to create accounts for each person. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 20:17, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why was my article declined? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.174.61.237 (talk) 22:25, February 10, 2014‎ (UTC)

Hello. I declined your article because this service is simply Virtual Piggy under a new name. You can add new information in your draft to the Virtual Piggy article. If you feel that Virtual Piggy should be moved to Oink, you can follow the instructions here. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 23:05, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
