If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on JAM TFO requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://panoranews.com/articles/490774-jam-3-tape-ultime-aux-francos. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:05, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2014[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from JAM TFO, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:33, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Based on your comment on the article's Talk page, you seem to have an incorrect understanding of what copyright is. Copyright means you can't use someone else's material without permission. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:35, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am not sure what I am doing. I am big fan of this television show and see that it should be found on wikipedia. I do not mean to fringe copyrights. Even after taking a look at tutorials and such I am still having a hard time formatting, editing and using sources properly. Is it possible for someone more knowledgeable with wikipedia to re-write the article with the given information?

You can start with a short article (see WP:STUB) and then add to it over time. One approach is to start the article in your own user space, creating a user subpage for yourself. You could create it at User:Wikipedianeedsme/JAM TFO, for example. When it reaches a point where you are comfortable that it looks like a real article—in English, and in your own words—you can move it to a page in the main article space. If you'd rather write it in French, you should add it to French Wikipedia instead, at fr:JAM TFO. I see that there isn't already an article on JAM TFO there. Is that helpful? —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:47, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You can request that someone else create an article. There's no guarantee that someone will, but you can ask. See Wikipedia:Requested articles. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:51, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thank you, how do I completely delete it so it doesn't come up on the google search engine anymore?

You're welcome. It is completely deleted. There's just a delay between deletion and the search engine discovering that it was deleted. —Largo Plazo (talk) 04:56, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, the page I previously tried to create has been approved in french, http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/JAM_(%C3%A9mission_de_t%C3%A9l%C3%A9vision). Can I re-creat it here but in english? the channel which aires the show has an english version here where it mentions the show https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TFO

Sure, that should be OK. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:52, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
