A tag has been placed on List of Computer Chronicles episodes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://archive.org/details/computerchronicles, https://archive.org/details/Operatin1984, and https://archive.org/details/Simulati1984. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello Wesleyneo, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.

If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. inappropriate use of "minor edit" checkbox[edit]

It appears that you are indiscriminately checking the "minor edit" checkbox. Please cease and desist from thie practice. There is specific guidance about marking an edit as minor and it is not the case that all the edits that you have flagged as minor actually qualify. Thank you. Hey there, thanks for bringing this to my notice. I didn't know there were guidelines. I'll try and make sure that I take them into account. I must say however that they increase friction. They are one more thing to remember. As my User page says, I am not avid editor. I simply fix errors - mostly dead links and references. I also find the guidelines to be incongruent with my experience here on Wikipedia. The vast majority of my edits are corrections. If the purpose of the guidelines are to ensure edits are reviewed, then the errors that my edits correct shouldn't exist. - wneo (talk) 09:06, 19 November 2021 (UTC) (PS: You have undone my revision without reason.
