A tag has been placed on Dr Peter Osin, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. February 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:48, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, WarwickThompson. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Dr Peter Osin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:49, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Communications[edit]

A discussion started at TeaHouse can continue at TeaHouse, or to the Talk pages of the original poster or responder, or even the Talk page of the article or draft of article. See comment preceding mine on how to declare Conflict of interest. If use of copyright content triggered a speedy deletion it may be difficult to recover your draft. You could write a comment to User talk:RHaworth who pulled the trigger on the SD. As for "work in progress' the means to do this at Wikipedia are to create the content in your own Sandbox or as a Draft. These sites are public, in that other editors can see and edit them, but not yet posted to mainspace. The best process once you are comfortable with the draft is to submit it to Articles for Creation. This allows a skilled editor to review and approve or decline. Articles that go through AfC are less likely to be subject to deletion. Be aware that in addition to Speedy Deletion (what wacked your article) there is also an Articles for Deletion process. Typically started for articles of disputed notability. There is a debate process of 7-14 days followed by a decision from an Administrator.

As to copyright: "The material featured on this website is copyright The Royal Marsden unless otherwise indicated. You may reuse Royal Marsden copyright protected material (not including logos) free of charge in any format for non-commercial research, private study or internal circulation within your organisation. The material must be acknowledged as Royal Marsden copyright and you must reference its source (the URL of the page or simply www.royalmarsden.nhs.uk)." That permission does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for use. David notMD (talk) 15:30, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
