Hook help (again?)[edit]

Hi and hope I'm not impeding on you're time too much, but I think Template:Did you know nominations/Joseph T. Wilson is in need of some hook surgery, if you (or a tps) have the time/interest. Cheers, Eddie891 Talk Work 16:05, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Mrs. Landingham[edit]

On 6 December 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mrs. Landingham, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the California State Assembly held a moment of silence over the death of fictional character Mrs. Landingham while in the midst of an energy crisis? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mrs. Landingham. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Mrs. Landingham), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi Theleekycauldron, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Anarchyte (talk) 08:30, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The 25 DYK Creation and Expansion Medal[edit]

The 25 DYK Creation and Expansion Medal
Congratulations! You have reached the milestone of creating or expanding 25 articles that have been featured in the "Did you know ..." section of the Main Page. No rush; I'm swamped for two weeks. Until your coaching I thought reviewing DYKs would be useful hands-on experience. Better I make small mistakes. BusterD (talk) 01:25, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Did you know nominations/Kilvidi Seshachari[edit]

Howdy! Just saw you promoting this one to an upcoming prep / queue. Please can we take the image as well. I wouldn't mind having to wait longer until an image spot opens up. Thanks. Ktin (talk) 22:20, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Ktin, thanks for reaching out! I'm not totally indifferent to the idea, but it's a "remains-to-be-seen" kind of thing—competition for the image slot tends to be high. I can't guarantee that your hook makes it to the image slot, but I'll definitely keep it in mind as more sets are built. I can give you a definitive answer in a couple of days, before prep 2 is promoted to queue. sound good? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 08:12, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks theleekycauldron. I would say lets move this one to prep 3, 4, or even 5. I see some of them have open image slots. I worked really hard on getting this image and hence, I would like to see this one included. Much appreciate your assistance. THanks. Ktin (talk) 18:27, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question on DYK STATS[edit]

Hi! I just found out that Death and funeral of Mindon Min, one of my DYK credits, had received over 10,000 views as per this. I'd like to know if that one was eligible for DYK STATS. Thank you. Htanaungg (talk) 08:10, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Howdy there, Htanaungg! So, I can't find any hard and fast rules on the sticking point here, although I can ping some past keepers of the stats page to ask them about this as well. What I'm seeing is that the tool you're linking to counts all pageviews on a given date, whereas I generally only count views if they come from a flesh-and-blood user, excluding bots and spiders. If you remove these automated pageviews, your hook comes out to 9,925 views, which doesn't quite make it (although that is frustratingly close, and I'm sorry about that—I thought your hook was fantastic, if that counts for anything). Again, I'm sorry about that—if you disagree, feel free to ping some other people here, I'm happy to discuss it more. I hope to leave a {{DYK views}} message on your talk page soon—keep trying, you've been doing great work! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 08:22, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh..., got it! Thanks for your help in my DYKs, by the way. 🙆‍♂ Htanaungg (talk) 14:19, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

oh, my god, that is an excellent pun. Also, BusterD, coming up with hooks for other's articles is often a fun part of prep set building! You can't do it unilaterally, but it's nice to watch the hooks you rewrite do well (or don't) on the Main Page from afar, as you see :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 21:47, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to take part in a survey about medical topics on Wikipedia[edit]

Dear fellow editor,

I am Piotr Konieczny, a sociologist of new media at Hanyang University (and User:Piotrus on Wikipedia). I would like to better understand Wikipedia's volunteers who edit medical topics, many associated with the WikiProject Medicine, and known to create some of the highest quality content on Wikipedia. I hope that the lessons I can learn from you that I will present to the academic audience will benefit both the WikiProject Medicine (improving your understanding of yourself and helping to promote it and attract new volunteers) and the wider world of medical volunteering and academia. Open access copy of the resulting research will be made available at WikiProject's Medicine upon the completion of the project.

All questions are optional. The survey is divided into 4 parts: 1 - Brief description of yourself; 2 - Questions about your volunteering; 3 - Questions about WikiProject Medicine and 4 - Questions about Wikipedia's coverage of medical topics.

Please note that by filling out this questionnaire, you consent to participate in this research. The survey is anonymous and all personal details relevant to your experience will be kept private and will not be transferred to any third party.

I appreciate your support of this research and thank you in advance for taking the time to participate and share your experiences! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at my Wikipedia user page or through my email listed on the survey page (or by Wikipedia email this user function).

Checking views for DYK[edit]

I'm not sure how the Get views DYK tool works. For example, Mr. Bloom says 1.8 null. SL93 (talk) 23:38, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SL93: Hi! Sorry, I know it's not super intuitive. So, the 1.8 is the number of views per hour the hook got, and the null is because it doesn't make the stats page at this moment (it'll be a smiley face if it does). However, we don't actually know whether or not it made the stats page—the reason it's so low is because your hook ran on December 14, and it's actually still December 14 UTC time. The pageviews for your hook on its DYK date haven't been tallied yet, so it's taking the pageviews from the day before (which are low). Check back around 2am UTC tomorrow (should be just a couple of hours from now), it'll give you a number that I'd wager is somewhere in the 300–400 range.
Once the pageviews have been tallied, it'll give you the real count, and once it's done spitting out all the pageviews for the hooks that have ran this month, it'll give you a bunch of wikitext that you can use to update the stats page for that month. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:48, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Tina Stege hook, for example, says "1146.2 :)"—that means that it got 1146.2 views per hour while on the main page, and since 1146.2 is larger than the 416 2/3 bar needed to make the stats page, it gives a smiley face. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:49, 14 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation. SL93 (talk) 01:03, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Opinion on notability[edit]

Can I get your thoughts on if John Giordano (martial artist) has enough coverage to show notability as it is now? I'm thinking of nominating the article for DYK. I was hoping to use Newspapers.com, but my access hasn't been renewed yet through the Wikipedia Library. I found out about the person in a 4 page article in an old martial arts magazine I bought at a thrift store for $1. SL93 (talk) 08:49, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SL93: hmm, I think I'm leaning towards yes—newspapers.com search wasn't the easiest, but i'm pretty sure this and this are him—should be enough, given coverage already in the article. isn't it nice to tell stories of the people seldom given attention to an audience of thousands, after finding them in random places? Thanks TLC for promoting this hook. Please can I ask for this one to be promoted to a prep area that allows for the picture to be used? I see prep areas 2 and 3 are available for the picture slot. If I have to wait for some more time, that is perfectly fine too. Thanks much for accommodating. Ktin (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Ktin! Sorry, i don't think I'll be able to put that one in an image slot. things are getting a little crazier as we get closer to christmas, and competition for the image slot is high enough as is. Plus, I'm giving priority to non-u.s. non-bio images at the moment, because we're running low on those hooks. I appreciate you reaching out; sorry about that! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 22:30, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there. Thanks for your response. I do not mind waiting and going into the new year for this one to make it to the main page if it would have to. Contributions from POCs are quite important to my work here and I would like to retain this image, unless you see some licensing images with this work. Ktin (talk) 22:39, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Theleekycauldron: -- Following up on this one before it is too late. Please can you remove this one from its current prep / queue and move it to prep 5 with the image slot or alternately, place it to run anytime in the future when a picture slot opens up. It is important that we afford opportunities to POCs to make it to the homepage and I would not want to lose this opportunity. Please prioritize this request. Thanks. Ktin (talk) 15:47, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Tagging @Amakuru: to help with this as this has now reached Queue5 (promoted by them). Amakuru - it is quite important for me that this DYK goes with the image, even if it means it falls down the list and comes up on a later day. Much appreciate your assistance. Ktin (talk) 17:29, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ktin: OK, I have done this as a special-favour response to your request, and moved the hook to picture slot in queue 5, given that you are a respected and prolific contributor to the main page generally. As Theleekycauldron points out, however, we simply can't grant picture hooks on demand - there is only one such slot for every eight hooks that get promoted, and of course everyone would like to see theirs be the one. So just to note that this is a one-off IAR response to your request, and that it is very unlikely such a request will be entertained in the future. Cheers, and all the best  — Amakuru (talk) 18:04, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Much appreciated Amakuru. Agree with your and TLC's notes. While editing here, certain topics have just become too dear to me and this was one of those topics. Thanks again. Wishing you and your dear ones a very happy holidays! Ktin (talk) 18:15, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm going to do for now is return the nomination to WP:DYKNA entirely, since like I said before, non-bio images are currently taking priority while we're running a shortage of non-U.S. non-bios. This will probably be promoted sometime after Boxing Day, depending on how WP:DYKNA shifts in the upcoming days. Thanks again, and happy holidays to y'all! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 22:11, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Theleekycauldron: I do not follow your non-U.S non bio logic as much. Fwiw Ebrahim was not from the US. If we are focusing on primarily non US and non bios for images, how would we explain current T:DYK/P6? Does William Rounseville Alger make it because it is an US Bio? Ktin (talk) 22:45, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I have absolutely no idea what's going on here... obviously I don't usually get involved with prep building, but I don't think there was any call for you overriding my decision to put it in prep 5 like that. I put it there specifically as a favour to Ktin based on this chat, and their request to me. We currently have three successive sets in preps 2, 3 and 4 without a bio pic so it's hard to see what the issue is. Please can I request you to self-revert and put the hook back, to let it run through as planned. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 22:51, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Amakuru: First off, I totally hear your concerns. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as draconian here, but there is a method to the madness. So, I told Ktin at the top of this discussion that because of the current shortage of non-U.S. non-bio hooks, i don't feel comfortable putting a bio in the image slot until this christmas craziness is over. We need to have at least four non-bios in every set, so since we have so few, the ones that I want to give an image slot get priority until we get some more non-bios.
As for the ethics of the favour-trading here, I'd just like to state for the record that Ktin came to me eight days ago with the same request, for Kilvidi Seshachari—and I did grant it for them. I'm not opposed to IAR exceptions, and I recognize that there's an extent to which if i can make people happy by swallowing my decision-making every once in a while, I'm happy to. But this isn't Ktin's first request, I'm feeling a little stressed due to the Christmas sets and the shortage, and Ktin is not the only person with requests to put hooks in image slots when I normally wouldn't—Johnbod wants to put the Magi in the Christmas set image slot, and Gerda Arendt wanted me to put a nomination she reviewed for a director in the image slot. I can't grant all of these, there's not enough prep sets and I have other factors to consider. As a favour to them, and a favour to you, I will put this in the image slot. But I have other priorities, so it's going to have to see a little bit of a delay. Ktin said they were fine with waiting until the new year, but I don't think it'll be that long. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:05, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly, TLC, like I have always maintained -- I genuinely appreciate your work and the energy that you bring to the project. And, I do not say this lightly. So, if you are feeling stressed because of any of my actions -- I will step back. Period. Please feel free to work this at your convenience. I would appreciate this going to an image slot when you all are able to get it. Good luck and stay well.
PS: Now, why do I perhaps selfishly ask for some of the images. I was hoping never to write this one and was hoping that my work would take care of it. But, here we are -- I believe we have a representation challenge with us that we need to consciously solve-for. Take November for instance. We had ~20 bios with images, of whom 4 were persons of color. We surely can do better. The best way that I can do better is to go seek some of these images and submit them into the process. After that I can only keep my fingers crossed and wait. Ktin (talk) 23:17, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, Ktin, i wish you'd said that from the outset :) looking through the archives, you're absolutely right. we can and we must do better. (oh, and by the way, that doesn't even count all the white men who I snub for the image slot because we have enough white men already). You stay well yourself—your nomination is going to get the image slot, but like i said, it'll be a bit of a wait (if I owned the prep sets, I'd just replace Alger, but I think that might unnecessarily piss some people off). Thank you for bringing this to my attention; I'm absolutely going to keep it in mind as I go forward. Have a great day, Ktin :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:24, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks TLC. Much appreciated. Have a nice day there and happy holidays again! Ktin (talk) 23:30, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Ktin: well, every set has to have at least 4 non-bio hooks, and because we're currently running a shortage of U.S. hooks, six hooks in the set have to be non-U.S. Unfortunately, we're currently running a shortage of non-u.s. non-bio hooks; like, maybe 10 or 11 non-u.s. non-bio hooks. So to reduce the shortage, we have to put four bio hooks into every set, to make sure we don't use more non-bios than necessary. We also have a few non-bio hooks that I'd like to put in the image slot, so those are getting priority so that we can scrape together the non-bios we need for every set. As for William Rounseville Alger, that set was filled before the shortage became apparent. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 22:52, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
to expand on alger, the set has four biographies—that's the limit. No reason to use an extra non-bio just to put it in the image slot. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 22:55, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure I follow this at all. William Rounseville Alger is showing up in P6 which was below the one that had slotted for Ebrahim. I humbly request you to restore Amakuru's edit. Ktin (talk) 23:00, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
sorry, yes, you're correct on the prep set timing. What I meant in my second comment for Alger is that if a set already has four non-bios, there's no reason to use a fifth non-bio just to put it in the image slot. We didn't need a non-bio image for that one. Look, if either of you want to go over my head to WT:DYK and put this in P5, that's fine. I'm happy to bow to consensus. But if you're fine waiting until after the holidays, that would be appreciated. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 23:08, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good. Happy to wait till after the holidays. Appreciate if you can keep a track of this one so we do not miss it. Thanks. Ktin (talk) 23:25, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Theleekycauldron - thanks for your detailed explanation above, and that makes perfect sense. I apologize for being snippy about this yesterday! Hoping the stress calms down soon and that you have a good festive period  — Amakuru (talk) 09:28, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries at all, Amakuru—here's to all future disputes being resolved this peacefully and quickly. Cheers! :D theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 19:21, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

DYK[edit]

Hi, thank you for trying to help at the DYK nomination. I must admit I've lost a lot of motivation after what happened. I nominated the article because I wanted the excellent work of one of my fellow WP:Medicine editors to be recognised. So I nominated it and I came up a hook that is really good and hooky. Several people left comments saying they loved the hook. But then the reviewer, and one other person summoned by the reviewer, said that in their opinion it breaks the rules, and struck it off. They went on to propose alternative hooks that, in my opinion, are nowhere near as good as the original. I don't think I have the motivation to contribute to that discussion anymore. I'm leaving you this note because I didn't want you to feel your input is not appreciated. Dr. Vogel (talk) 20:41, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, Dr. Vogel. I'm sorry you feel that way—that must have been a really crappy discussion to be at the centre of. I'll get the ball rolling at pushing the nomination the rest of the way through. Take care of yourself :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 00:39, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
DrVogel: if you could please edit your signature to read [[User:DrVogel|Dr. Vogel]] instead of [[User:Dr. Vogel|Dr. Vogel]] so that people know how to ping you, t'would be very much appreciated, thanks :) theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 00:41, 22 December 2021 (UTC) nope, i'm just a dummy[reply]

My bad[edit]

Reading the hook again, "... that Herrscher des Himmels, erhöre das Lallen (first page pictured), a Bach cantata for the Third Day of Christmas, contains the only aria that he newly composed for the oratorio? - I ask myself how I could word that. Which oratorio? Not everybody will know that this is Part III of the Christmas Oratorio. Help??? ... of the Christmas Oratorio? ... of the oratorio? - I probably tried too hard to say oratorio twice. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 00:05, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Gerda Arendt: could you say "the oratorio's only aria"? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 00:37, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You made me smile - you didn't read the article ;) - Now seriously it has many arias, amd some people are a bit disappointed by how the music began, but this one aria ("enclose, my heart, this blessed miracle fast into your faith") was really newly composed for it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:53, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
look, i'm a sixteen year old white kid from california—there is a limited amount of german i can read in a day, as opposed to my husband ;D does "the oratorio's only original aria" work? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 07:05, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please let's not talk about age ;) - The article is in English, no? - Seriously: I think "newly composed" is clearer than "original". Of my two suggestions, I'd prefer the first, because for many Christmas will be over when this comes (but wasn't for those in Leipzig who'd celebrate until 6 Januaray). The second suggestion would just add a link to what we have now, in case you prefer that.
Rühle: I think the hook now reads as if those were his only books, otherwise fine. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:30, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just nominated Elena Guseva, 2 days late, my mind was full of other things, - it will need a merciful reviewer, hint hint ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:32, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't envy you, having to redo the Christmas sets to 24 hours. Please remember that Christmas Oratorio Part III should go to 27 December, and I think Bach's manuscript handwriting would be worthy of being shown, and IF some church portal is pictured to represent a district, the caption should says so, and (?? pictured) needs to go someplace in the hook, - this is not like a person where we don't have to add that as redundant. (Easiest: drop image). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:36, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gerda Arendt: you cleared taking the oratorio for 25 december if needed—I hope you're still all right with that, I'm most likely going to need it if Kingsif's GA doesn't get through in time. I'll get back to the rest of this in the morning, I'm very tired and yes, I've finally got my work cut out for me. theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 10:42, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand - don't we have too many for Christmas Day?? I'd prefer it for 27 pictured, that's the day Bach wrote it for. I also have already Bach music song for the 25th, no? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:16, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I see, that now went to 26, - 25 would be better for the angel saying to not be afraid. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:19, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gerda Arendt: I'm sorry, I wish i got through on that one—they were moved to queue while I was asleep, although it looks like the hooks are where you want them? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 18:15, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, - yes, the musical ones are now - after I pleaded on DYKtalk - where they should be. 27 has another white man instead of music but so be it. There's Stefan Keil - dressed as Saint Nicholas - not yet in a Christmas position, also mentioned on DYKtalk. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:03, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

On 25 December 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Bartlet for America, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a Christmas gift on The West Wing's "Bartlet for America", a napkin bearing the episode's slogan, was replicated for Jacky Rosen's U.S. Senate campaign? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Bartlet for America. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Bartlet for America), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. I tried to nominate Dendrodoa grossularia with the new nomination form but the nomination failed. @Cwmhiraeth: I think it may have meant to tell you to copy the text to Template:Did you know nominations/Dendrodoa grossularia (then a redlink) and then transclude the nomination to WP:DYKN. No, really. Yoninah got her first adminship offer about a decade after she made her first edit. I think you could do it in 5 or 6 (since your first edit is in 2017). I won't be too active here since I'm a sysop in another Wikipedia, so the only thing I could probably do is rally support for your nomination (poke Gerda). I'll probably wait until your first FA or your first encounter in wikiconflict. sorry if i'm being too blunt here *leaves --Regards, Jeromi Mikhael 08:42, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If I were theleekycauldron I'd start to put together a very small group of people who might nominate and advise them. These would be admins of impeccable reputation who know the editor's work well and might help signal the moment. Don't try to rush it, you're really close to being drafted into this new responsibility. To my eye you're an authentic, energetic person who cares about page quality and can be trusted around the main page. At this point I believe your chronological age has become a positive factor, not the potential negative it seemed in your online poll. I would not wait until elections; I might run in the next few months. If you were to run and not pass the bar, you'd be another year or so away. On the other hand, the community might really like to reward itself during this weird period of time with the youngest admin. BusterD (talk) 22:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@BusterD: noted, thanks! no rush. I suppose that the nice thing about the prep sets of DYK is that you get a lot of admins to look up to and ask for advice. Maile's been wink-wink-hinting-and-nudging at a run for a month or so, i'll talk to them; and I trust Gatoclass to be objective as well.
side note: apparently, back in the early days of wikipedia's adminship, some eleven and twelve year olds got the gig. I don't know of any underage admins right now, but i wonder what their experiences were like... theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 09:15, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality issues persisting in DYK article[edit]

Hello, I see you were the editor who promoted the DYK status for following article: Pushbacks in Greece which was nominated for DYK and promoted on the condition that it has no neutrality issues by the time of the promotion, but since then, more neutrality issues have emerged. These issues of neutrality have been raised in the talk page and remain unresolved to this day. Several editors have expressed their serious concerns and some attempts have been made to improve the situation, but due to disagreements and structural issues, the neutrality issues remain unresolved to this day. I don't know how long it will take to resolve these issues, but, considering that DYK nomination requires that the articles in question do not have wp:neutral issues, not only during nomination, but also in general, and considering that the wp:neutral concerns by both me and the other editors have not been addressed adequately (despite enough time passing since they were raised at the talk page), I believe Pushbacks in Greece is not eligible for DYK anymore and that it should be demoted from its DYK status until these issues are resolved adequately. I have been looking around to figure out how DYK is reviewed and lifted for articles but I wouldn't understand how. Is the relevant information present at: WP:DYK? Since you are experienced in DYK nominations, any advise on the matter will be appreciated. Thank you. --- SilentResident (talk ✉ | contribs ✎) 02:16, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, SilentResident! Articles get maintenance tagged and discussed a lot, it's par for the course, even if it's already appeared on DYK; there's no reason not to acknowledge that the article appeared on DYK at some point, because it did. Not much going back on that. The article wouldn't be eligible if it were nominated again today (ignoring that no article can be nominated twice), given the neutrality tag and dispute, but I wouldn't see a reason to retract the DYK credit. Sorry about that; Cheers! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 07:55, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My scope here isn't to detract the DYK credit, because the article won its DYK credit fairly, and thus, that's out of question here. (After all, when the article was nominated for DYK and appeared on it, and I personally didn't raise objections to this nomination, since the neutrality concerns at the time were addressed adequately.) What I am seeking to understand here is whether an article whose neutral status has deteriorated, may re-appear on DYKs in the future, and, from what you told me, it won't? This is the answer I was seeking. Thank you very much for your time and have a good day! --- SilentResident (talk ✉ | contribs ✎) 10:24, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, yeah, no article can be featured on DYK twice; we've had some IAR exceptions in the past, but that's the general rule. Have a good day yourself! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/she) 20:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
