@Liz Hi, Another thing if the page with the title Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education written by me is already exist then -
Can you please tell me what is the current condition of this article, I mean to say whether the page is already submitted for review or not? Whether the page is already published or not?
If yes then I can start editing there itself rather to edit in the draft space.
Please show me the way.
Thank you. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 20:12, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Supriyomj16022008. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Supriyomj16022008. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Supriyomj16022008|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 17:03, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am bestowing my love and respect to you. I'm a simple human being, earn nothing, recently fond of Wikipedia. If I'm not a fit person then whatever the order you will give I shall try to follow. Don't get any reply. May be I did mistakes but please forgive me. That time I was unaware about WP:COI. Later one respected Admin/reviewer told me, what it is and then I understand and try to transparent myself. I'm beginner, a baby in this field. If you don't allow me then how can I proceed. I really want to do something good. I want to contribute positively. Please pardon me. I really need your help. Thank you. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 09:26, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on "Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedia editors, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to initiate a discussion regarding the article titled "Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education." As the primary contributor to this article under the username "Supriyomj16022008," I value your input and feedback. The purpose of this discussion is to: Address any concerns or issues related to the article's content, neutrality, or compliance with Wikipedia guidelines. Collaborate on improvements to enhance the quality and accuracy of the article. If the article is not up to the mark, then please do it in the way that the article aligns with Wikipedia's standards and policies. I want to clarify a few important points: I am a newcomer. I am not a paid editor and doing it voluntarily. As a novice, I may have inadvertently added some promotional content to my article in the past but all I did unknowingly. I thought maybe it is good to write more and so did it. I want to emphasize that I have no intention of any kind of advertisement or promoting or misrepresenting any information rather I thought it’s a reputed and one of the top 10 B.Ed. Colleges of Bengal so better to add it in Wikipedia Encyclopaedia and that’s why in my first article I thought that I have to start with it and if I get success then I shall try to edit more either with new or in existing article. I am genuinely committed to following Wikipedia's guidelines for neutrality and verifiability because I have a deep appreciation for Wikipedia and its community of editors. It's important to note that the college is a government-aided institution and operates under the umbrella of Ramakrishna Mission Boys' Home, Rahara. Though I am a monk associated with this Centre but please believe me, I am not personally involved with Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education in any official capacity. Please share your thoughts, suggestions, or concerns in this discussion. Your contributions are valuable in maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia's content. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, (Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 11:25, 5 September 2023 (UTC))[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://rkmbcrahara.org/cms.php?cId=2. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Supriyomj16022008! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:33, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your advice. Really I am a beginner. May be unknowingly as a novice I did lot of mistakes in the case of editing and uploading pictures in Wikipedia Commons. Believe me I din't do that intentionally. Please forgive me. I humbly take your decision. I think, I have to start from 'the guide to writing your first article' with the Article Wizard. Shall I start my article there? Thank you. (Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 13:12, 13 September 2023 (UTC))[reply]
As you are a member of the organisation that runs the school, you have a conflict of interest even if you are not involved in the operations of the school, and you should disclose this with a notice on your user page. You will need to start the article as a draft and submit it through Artciles for Creation. Help:Your first article has useful information. You absolutely must write the article in your own words, and those words must adhere to a neutral point of view. If you need help, you can ask questions at the Teahouse. -- Whpq (talk) 02:33, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your kind reply. Yes, I shall try to write following your guidance.
I understand what you told me and I have to disclose it in my talk page. Just now I read - How to disclose a COI. So I must disclose. I have to disclose it in three places. Is it not? Please clarify if I am right or wrong.
1. In the top of my talk page I have to add {{connected contributor}} or someone may add this for me.
2. I have to make a statement in the edit summary like - This govt-aided school runs by one organisation and I am the member of such organisation.
3. {{UserboxCOI
|1=First Wikipedia article title
|text=This govt-aided school runs by one organisation and I am the member of such organisation
}}
As you advised, if I have any query in future then I have to ask at Teahouse. Thank you. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 13:57, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page[edit]

Your user page is for providing information about yourself and how you contribute to Wikipedia. It is not a space for drafting or hosting an article. This is not appropriate and you should remove it. You may start your article in your own user space or in draft space. -- Whpq (talk) 19:07, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Whpq I apologized. Thank you for giving me this valuable information. I shall definitely remove and shift it tomorrow because in mobile I can't do. My own user space or draft space means Sandbox? Is it not. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 19:28, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you can draft in your sandbox or create it as a user subpage like User:Supriyomj16022008/Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education for example. -- Whpq (talk) 19:48, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Whpq Thank you for your guidance. One thing I want to tell you, I don't want to write anything, not even a single point that shows something promotional or advertisement rather I shall try to enhance it with encyclopedic view, following the guideline of Wikipedia with proper tune. So if you see anything that wrongly added then please inform. Thank you. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 20:06, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have moved the draft to Draft:Ramakrishna Mission Brahmananda College of Education and removed promotional content from it. I strongly recommend that you find something else to edit about, as your conflict of interest is noticeably too strong. Please have a look at the Task Center or the community portal for ideas that are more likely to improve the encyclopedia. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:13, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much. I shall try to follow your guidance. I have to take time. I don't know how much I will be. Thanks to you again. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 13:15, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please check WP:NOTPROMO. In the talk page I added edit request. Supriyomj16022008 (talk) 16:12, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your support. I really need it. One thing I want to ask you, on 12th Aug'23 I edited one of our school page. As I changed the name of the page so few days back I got one message from one respected reviewer/admin that the page is proposed to delete. After that one alumnus added one important section. As I have a WP:COI with that school, so is it possible to edit the page now? I can give you the link of that mainspace article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramakrishna_Mission_Boys%27_Home_High_School,_Rahara Thank you again.
