Hi Idoghor Melody,
Thanks for reviewing this submission. I've cited RIAA (the Recording Industry Association of America) which is the sole body that issues platinum certifications. I've cited ASCAP (the largest Performing Rights Organization which represents songwriters). I've cited Pitchfork (a premiere music magazine in America). Can you explain why these sources don't meet Wikipedia:Reliable sources?
Thanks,
Oscar RandomFX (talk) 22:51, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You need to cite secondary sources to prove notability. Also, that resume was not "mysteriously deleted": it's resume information, not encyclopedic writing. Drmies (talk) 16:31, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drmies,
Thank you for referring me to the conflict of interest guideline. I've read it and made sure I am in compliance regarding the page Draft:Scott Bruzenak.

Well? No disclosure of what seems to be an obvious conflict of interest? And that list of credits, with its primary sourcing, that's probably one of the most serious impediments to getting this article accepted. Drmies (talk) 17:56, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Drmies, thank you for bearing with me because I'm a new editor. I'm not being paid to write the article, nor am I interested in promoting the subject. However, I am interested in documenting the subject because I'm an avid listener of one of the artists he produced for (Dawn Richard). Does this constitute a conflict of interest? Regarding the credits--I'm not quite sure what primary sourcing I looked them up on the ASCAP ACE Repertory and Apple Music. Should I provide an individual link for each credit? Or perhaps omit the list of credits from the page? Some guidance here would be useful.
Thanks,

Sorry I meant "I'm not quite sure what primary sourcing is. I looked them up on the ASCAP ACE Repertory and Apple Music."

Hi @Drmies, I have updated the list of credits with individual references. RandomFX (talk) 21:46, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's exactly what primary sourcing is. Please see Secondary sources. Drmies (talk) 22:44, 6 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Drmies. Can you help me understand how to do proper sourcing for album credits? When I look at most pop music albums on Wikipedia (for example V (Maroon 5 album), I see "Credits for V are adapted from AllMusic." with a reference to allmusic (https://www.allmusic.com/album/v-mw0002704238/credits) similar to what I have down for Draft: Scott Bruzenak. Is this considered a secondary source or a primary source? Perhaps the original album CD is the primary source and the online transcription of the credits is a secondary source? Thank you for bearing with me. RandomFX (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is a huge difference between a few allmusic references on an album like that and dozens of em in a draft that is already sketchy in terms of sourcing. What you need to prove is notability, and you can't do that with a list of titles with primary sources. You need secondary sources to prove notability--and to produce an article that is decently sourced enough for AfC editors to pass on. Drmies (talk) 20:13, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
