You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at Maria Maragkoudaki. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

Thank you for your message. Your articles about Maria Maragkoudaki were deleted because they were copied from another website. That violates copyright law.

I would recommend that you read WP:BIO, Wikipedia's "notability" guideline. If Maria Maragkoudaki satisfies the criteria, she qualifies for an encyclopedia article. You should write a new article based on what has been written about her in reliable sources. Be sure to include references so readers, including other editors, can verify the facts in the article.

Hi. A Wikipedia article is supposed to be about a notable topic (see WP:N), written neutrally (see WP:NPOV) in the third person, based on independent reliable sources (WP:RS). Wikipedia is not a place for you to write about yourself, and certainly not from a first person perspective - the kind of stuff you are writing belongs on Facebook, MySpace, or your own site. If there are no reliable third party sources our there to attest to your notability, then you're not going to qualify for a Wikipedia article. And anyway, it is strongly advised that you do not write about yourself - if you become sufficiently notable for a Wikipedia article (and I hope you do - I wish you well in your career), someone is sure to come along and write about you in due course. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:55, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
