  • The Wikimania 2022 Hackathon will take place virtually from 11 August to 14 August.

You seem to have set up protection on the redirect page for Shithole Country. When last I checked, this page was properly redirecting to United States. Somebody appears to have vandalized the page and it now points to a page discussing Donald Trump's use of the phrase. While superficially accurate, this change robs users from the joy of having Shithole Country redirect to United States. 'LTA' pages

Hello! You mentioned this 'LTA' case page at an SPI recently. In general, LTA case pages are only useful for persistent cases where the modus operandi is subtle (i.e. where it might not be immediately obvious that an account is a returning customer). Someone who has been posting bizarre abuse aimed at game developers for all of ten days is neither "long-term" nor "subtle" - they're blockable on their own merit without having to know whether there is any ongoing pattern.

There is also the issue that keeping logs of people's abuse feeds their desire for notoriety and is therefore counter-productive. I might perhaps suggest tagging the page for U1 deletion. Thanks, firefly ( t · c ) 09:56, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Thank you, firefly. I'm having trouble understanding how my list isn't appropriate compared to a normal LTA case. They both list accounts, which would feed the vandal anyway. I understand that the user hasn't been disrupting pages for a long time, which is why I userfied the page, because if they decide to stop, there won't be an inactive report at WP:LTA. To be honest I don't think the regular LTA pages are much better (for all the reasons I mentioned), but that's a whole other discussion! The main difference of course is that many of the pages at WP:LTA cover cases stretching back years, rather than just ten days. firefly ( t · c ) 15:20, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Daylight "savings" time

The government is up to something with daylight savings time. They want us to believe that it's for our own good, to help us make the most of the daylight hours and save energy. But what's really going on is that they're using it as a way to control us.

They know that if they can mess with our sleep patterns and screw up our internal clocks, we'll be more vulnerable and easier to control. That's why they keep changing the dates for when daylight savings time starts and ends - they want to keep us off balance so we're always guessing what time it really is.

And it's not just about controlling us - it's about making money too. The government knows that if we're all sleep-deprived and confused, we'll be more likely to make mistakes and buy things we don't need. They're counting on us being too tired to think straight, so they can line their own pockets while we foot the bill.

So next time daylight savings time rolls around, don't fall for the government's lies - stay awake and be aware of what's really going on. While you may be disappointed with the decision, I feel it is for the best as the show has had a lengthy run. It is also worth noting that a spinoff titled "Danger Force" has been airing for a few years, and it is very similar to Henry Danger meaning it should satisfy your desire for new episodes.
