Hi Thank you for your message, as you can see i'm new to this. All the data I have been adding is 100% correct. I'm part of the local Historical Society here in Lightning Ridge, every time I add something someone removes it, tonight I spent ages adding details again and when I was making a list of sources to add it was deleted again.I think it is best when Local History center's etc get to add histories etc to Wikipedia to get the information correct. Kind Regards LightningRidge (talk) 12:43, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Lightning Ridge, New South Wales, you may be blocked from editing. Your contributions and your username give the appearance that you are here to promote Lightning Ridge rather than to build the encyclopedia.C.Fred (talk) 22:10, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@C.Fred: Could I gently point you at the thread at the top of this page, where LightningRidge informs us that they are part of the local Historical Society in Lightning Ridge. I don't think the information they've added can correctly be construed as promotional or advertising material, and so I don't think your warning is appropriate nor constructive. This seems to be a case where a new user needs support and guidance, not blunt, unhelpful and erroneous warnings. --Tagishsimon (talk) 23:23, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
