A tag has been placed on User:Idjelassi/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.nato-pa.int/content/david-hobbs. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Hello Idjelassi and sorry for having had to nominate your page for deletion, the thing is just that we can't republish copyrighted material (except when it's published under a compatible license). You can have a look at WP:Your first article, we try to cite multiple reliable independant sources and summarize them. Hello Pjarkur, Thank you for your message. You decide to delete me which is perplexing. I work for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the content I added for my boss, Mr David Hobbs, is neither offence nor incorrect. In fact, I am best place to ensure that any biography added is correct. I have never used Wikipedia before and I must say that the process is complicated but before deleting perhaps help for new contributor should be provided first. Hello Idjelassi, the only reason the page was deleted was because it was a copyright violation (it was copy-pasted word for word from a copyrighted page), not because the information was incorrect. We try to remove copyright violations as soon as possible. I agree that Wikipedia is very difficult to get started with, it does take a some time to get used to editing here but it's doable. Writing an article from scratch is not an easy thing to do, we usually recommend doing small edits to already existing articles to understand the process. You should also read our conflict of interest guidelines, we recommend that people declare if they have a conflict of interest, I've added the declaration to your userpage. If you are getting paid for editing Wikipedia, you also need to declare that.
So, to create an article on Hobbs you can go to Articles for creation, write an article which summarizes reliable secondary sources, and then submit the article for review. I will also post a standard message here below which contains some information about conflict of interest editing.
