Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Gotts surname in UK, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

As you can see, we have made a collective decision to accept this article. However it remains rather light on reliable, secondary sources so we have made the following comments:

Comment 1: This consists in large part of OR based on primary sources such as census data and local records. Its tone however is not a conventional "Essay", and I note that articles like Smith (surname) exist even if they are disputed.

Comment 2: Article reads as a history of the surname. Should be structured similar to other surname articles such as Smith (surname). rushbugled13 (talk) 21:38, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

The article needs to be restructured as above. Citations to secondary sources (as at Smith, like Penguin Dictionary of Surnames and similar texts) would be wise.
