December 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Olive Young (company), but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 07:31, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To add to this, you did a good job of declaring your paid editing status on your user page, but you should also read WP:PAID and WP:COI. In particular, you probably shouldn't be editing the pages you're paid for directly, and instead submit edit requests. Struck my misunderstanding. I wasn't paid to edit the Olive Young page, I was only trying to learn how editing works in Wikipedia. And if I'm paid to edit only one page, do I still have to declare that I'm a paid editor for the rest of the pages I'm going to edit?Glossy1718! (talk) 01:07, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh my word, you're completely right! You indeed do not have to declare your paid status for subjects which are not connected to your client. I somehow got it in my head that you were paid by Olive Young, which is wrong. I'm sorry about that! In that case, you're correct, you are allowed and encouraged to make WP:BOLD edits, as you did. That also means that WP:PROMO was not the right thing for me to cite for the revert; WP:DUE would have been more appropriate. I hope I didn't make things harder for you because of my misunderstanding!
For what it's worth, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me; I'm still relatively new, but I might be able to point you in the right direction. Again, my apologies for not reading your paid notice more closely, and thank you for being so forthright in how you follow Wikipedia policies; if everyone was like that, Wikipedia would be a better place! Hello, Glossy1718!

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SailingInABathTub, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Je-geun Park, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. To prevent the deletion, please add a reference to the article. You may remove the deletion tag yourself once the article has at least one reliable source.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SailingInABathTub}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
