Missy Franklin[edit]

Hi. You have repeatedly deleted "University of California, Berkeley" from the infobox for the Missy Franklin article. Because swimming is an international sport at the elite level, it is standard infobox formatting for all American swimmer bio articles to include the complete name of the college or university for which the American athlete swam in NCAA competition (please see, e.g., Nathan Adrian, Matt Biondi, Rachel Bootsma, Haley Cope, Natalie Coughlin, Jessica Hardy, etc.). The names of the university and their university team should also both be linked in the main body text of the article (e.g., the University of California, Berkeley and California Golden Bears), neither of which is abbreviated the first time it appears in text. Nicknames[edit]

Hye, Bigs. I undid your addition of the "Missy" nickname to the bolded statement of Missy Franklin's full name. "Missy" is the commonly understood diminutive form of Melissa, and, as such it is redundant -- especially when the nickname is included in the article title and the infobox. It is a common misperception that this is some sort of required format for nicknames; it is not. Please see discussion @ Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Biographies. Especially so when the nickname is the commonly used and recognized diminutive of the subject's given or middle name, like Michael "Mike" Smith or Jennifer "Jenny" Jones. Cheers. In one of the articles I added, it said she was 29 and the article was written in 2014 so I was right saying she was born in 1984.
