Hi - I really don't see how people can link to my article to avoid self-promotion in certain instances. Have deliberately avoided linking to the Shibley Rahman article from the frontotemporal dementia article as that would look really out-of-place and be a naked example of self-promotion. Articleman11 (talk) 22:43, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11

Really not sure how you get at the sickening remark I am non notable when I am a member of the Society of Biology Ielected) and I am also elected as the Fellow of the Royal Society of Encouragement in the Arts, Commerce and Entreneurship; as well as being an associate of the Institute of Directors. My research is cited in the current chapter on dementia in the Oxford Textbook of Medicine - so ..? There are reams about me when you click on ONE OF YOUR OWN LINKS like Google Scholar blah blah blah Articleman11 (talk) 22:43, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Hi - How do I notify in the 'edit' section that I am the author? (see talk criticisms re: conflict)

Articleman11 (talk) 22:43, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Somebody will probably say I am a stalker. This would be malicious under Wikipedia's code of conduct, actually. The thing is I have never been a stalker

the legal proof is here:

http://shibleyrahman.com/2010/07/22/i-am-not-a-stalker/

My GMC case which led to my erasure was nothing to do with stalking; it was due to incompetence and poor conduct, while severely alcoholic. However, I think it's ridiculous as this article is on Google

and somebody might use to say I am a stalker which is entirely incorrect

The BBC have been known about this story for months and are still investigating,

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/5167636.stm

And given the fact I am now disabled, I feel that Wikipedia should defend me from this.

I have therefore not inserted it into the article, specifically to avoid legal controversy. I think the article's fine as it is. I would value very much your advice on this.

I am so grateful!!!!!!!!! Many thanks. I am doing my best - now turning my attention to the 'fair guidelines'

Articleman11 (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Making some progress now. However, for the personal life, Shibley Rahman has admitted being in recovery for alcohol dependence syndrome on external sites (including About Us). Are these feasible for inclusion in Wikipedia?

Articleman11 (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Forget everything below. I will start afresh and write a really short article where there is no possible scope for conflict. Very many apologies.

Articleman11 (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

What do I do now? Thanks

Articleman11 (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Really confused - will delete all the BBC and Titmuss stuff. The rest is uncontroversial. Please let me have my page back

I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand. I neither created the Shibley rahman page nor nominated it for Speedy Deletion. All I did to that page was move it to Shibley Rahman (capitalizing the last name) at the request of the creator of the article. Was there some misunderstanding here?Sxebill (talk) 02:12, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

but Shibley Rahman has been 'speedily deleted'. This is grossly unfair.

Do you want me to start it from scratch again?

Really confused - As I explained, I am NEW to this. Articleman11 (talk) 02:28, 27 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

No probs - I can get rid of the Titmuss stuff and the BBC In fact, I'd prefer that. I was just trying to avoid any notion of self-promotion to paint myself in a glossy light. Please advise on the stuff that you wish to get rid of, and I will happily do it for you. I am really sorry. Please note that my name is Dr. Shibley Rahman, and I certainly don't wish to attack myself! Really sorry - please help!! I've spent a couple of hours on it and it's all disappeared!

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 02:09, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Shibley Rahman has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. URGENT I have inserted a picture from the ventromedial prefrontal cortex page but I don't know what I'm doing re: copyright[edit]

Please check this is allowed : I have taken the picture from the ventromedial prefrontal cortex page which I assumed was covered by Creative Commons. Please advise. I am new here. Sorry.

Could you please with Wikipedia media as well?

I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. Articleman11 (talk) 14:28, 28 August 2010 (UTC)Articleman11[reply]

Genuinely grateful for the deletion[edit]

First of all, I am very grateful to you deleting this article as I am not considered notable.

Wikipedia's academic standards are VERY POOR on academic topics. Stick to your glamour celebrity articles folks. Your project makes me laugh.

I certainly have not intention of improving your frontotemporal dementia articles unless your foundation wishes to pay me at my rate of £500 a day

Ask any of the experts in frontal dementia. I will tell them about the Wikipedia project too.

Raise your credibility folks in the academic world. It does matter, or else stick to Heat magazine.
