Question about your edits[edit]

Can you explain why you keep doing things like this: [1]. Thanks! --Jayron32 04:59, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anthony. I have declined your speedy deletion request for this page because it's not clear why you wish to delete it, or under what grounds. 28bytes (talk) 07:41, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No protection please[edit]

Hi, Anthony! You no doubt feel frustration at not having full freedom to edit WP right now. Consider that, if you are a good copy editor, you can achieve 50 edits per day easily (especially on a non-work day). Protected articles won't be unavailable to your editing for very long. If you have an important edit you want to make to a protected page, you may describe the edit (and provide sources where needed) on the Talk page for the article you wish to edit.--Quisqualis (talk) 23:49, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition of other awards to the various pages[edit]

Hi Anthony - I just reverted your addition of the entire Wikipedia:Other awards article to Wikipedia:Personal user awards and Wikipedia:Barnstars. The info was placed incorrectly at the bottom, throwing off the table of contents of each page. If anywhere, it should be above the "See also" section for each. But more importantly, rather than merging the info without doing the proper associated editing to merge the content correctly, have you considered just adding links to the "Other awards" article to the articles' "See also" sections? See how I did it here [[2]]. Regards. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 23:44, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please take a pause and respond[edit]

Hi Anthony. You are making a bunch of edits that do not make sense to me. Can you please take a break from editing and explain why you tried to delete Wikipedia:Wikipedia (disambiguation)? You also have an unanswered question above from Jayron32 above; can you please respond to him? 28bytes (talk) 00:11, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Serious concerns over your editing[edit]

Hi Anthony. I'm one of a number of hosts at the Teahouse, where you recently posted this comment. I was quite surprised when I read it as you might as well have said: "Bank managers: please stop locking the doors to the bank safe. This is seen as vandalism. If I become a bank manager, I will probably leave them all open."

Now, a number of us have since become concerned about the nature of your edits, and we would ask you to cease making subtle - and indeed some unsubtle changes - to key pages - and only to make legitimate changes to mainspace articles, ensuring you leave an edit summary to justify why you have made that change. Some of the edits you've made since you registered indicate you have edited here before, presumably under an anonymouus IP address? If, however, you have previously used another registered account name, I would invite you to declare that on your userpage, please. You might wish to read about how seriously we take the use of more than one registered account (see WP:MULTIACCOUNT).

Whilst you are always very welcome to ask questions at the Teahouse, you did manage to draw attention to yourself, and we're concerned at the rather unusual edits you have been making. (See here, here, here, here.) You must explain in future why you make any changes, so do ensure you use an edit summary, please. Continued disruption of this nature - even if you think it is being done for the best of reasons - is going to get you blocked from editing, I'm afraid. If you don't understand why something is done on a page, ask first, don't just rush in and make changes, as you did here, for example at Wikipedia:DIE

You have been asked questions about your editing by other users, so please answer those and demonstrate that you can cooperate in a spirit of collaboration and respect. We like to assume good faith with apparently new users, but please don't push us too far, and do heed the concerns of other editors. Kind regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 01:13, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
