Overall: The first sentence is a tautology, please rewrite not to be redundant – you don't have to force the article title into bold. Flags of the World is not a reliable source and it should be removed as an EL. Can you possibly add any newer information about the flag's usage since it was adopted?

  • Hi! What is redundant about the first sentence? I said "Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul" because I wasn't sure if en wiki readers would be familiar with Brazilian states. Do you think something like "... that the ochre on the proposed state flag of Mato Grosso do Sul was changed by the dictatorship-era government to blue to match the colors of the national flag?" works better? The flag hasn't changed since 1979 so I haven't found any note-worthy sourced material since then about the flag. Additionally, I'll go ahead and remove the External links section. • This is also my first DYK so I don't believe I have to do a QPQ. BaduFerreira (talk) 15:03, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • No I meant the first sentence of the article. The hook was fine. Reywas92Talk 16:01, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
      • Oh okay, makes sense. I've gone ahead and modified the header a bit. BaduFerreira (talk) 16:29, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
        • That's better. I pass ALT0 for DYK, though I'd encourage you to find further coverage beyond the adoption. Reywas92Talk 18:41, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
