You've added the (to me incomprehensible) {{fullurl}} stuff to the simplest guide as well? Please consider that this version of the guide isn't meant for people like you. If you're using the secure server, you're unlikely to seek help from something called "Simplest guide", don't you think? "Just a simple copy/paste" is, er, simple to do, and that's exactly why it's helpful for newbies and the technologically challenged. See my note on Wikipedia talk:Simple diff and link guide:
"Thank you. For my part, though, I wish you wouldn't add anything to this particular guide that's alarming or complicated-looking. I created it for idiots like myself, and newbies, and tried to make it as un-alarming and un-techie looking as possible. Too many new users daren't even try to make diffs and links, in my experience. The Complete guide is the perfect place for the clever (and alarming) stuff."
"Created for idiots like myself" applies a fortiori to the Simplest guide; in other words, there's a reason this guide comes in three versions. I'm afraid I'm going to revert your change to the first two of them—the ones with the word "simple" in their names. Sorry I haven't been watching the guides closely enough to discuss this more promptly. Bishonen | talk 21:37, 31 October 2010 (UTC).[reply]
