Golden Horseshoe[edit]

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Addition of unsourced edits and excessive photos. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 14:23, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DeclinedWarn the user appropriately then report them to AIV or ANI if they continue. @Johnny Au: Page protection is usually not the best solution for problematic edits from a single user. Also, please don't use the minor edit flag for non-minor edits. For example, if you're adding a comment due to some sort of disagreement or adding or removing words in a way that alters the meaning of an article, it's not a minor edit. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 18:55, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Josef Mengele[edit]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Long-time vandalism target. Usable edits by IPs are exceedingly rare. Not sure which duration would be best. — Diannaa (talk) 14:45, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pending-changes protected for a period of 1 month, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. It's been a long time since this was protected. Let's start with a month of pending changes and see how that works. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 19:06, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent addition of unsourced content. Waxworker (talk) 20:02, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

PredictIt[edit]

Reason: There's much more detail in my ANI report from earlier today, but tl;dr an unregistered user has been adding the same information about PredictIt's Better Business Bureau rating to the page for the past three years. I believe Better Business Bureau is not a reliable source because its rating depends on user reports, and it seems other users who have undone this IP's edits in the past think the same.

Since this user's IP constantly changes, both warning and blocking are ineffective, and so I've been referred here by replies on ANI. Iiii I I I (talk) 20:05, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
