COI[edit]

Hello Jamie, I am new to wikipedia and I didn't know about declaring COI, I apologise. However, can you tell if what I said is irrelevant to Pizza Hut's huge rebrand that we were a part of, and the section I contributed this to? I thought it was a nice addition to explain how the theme of Pizza Hut restaurants in the UK have changed to keep pace with their competitors. If I was to resubmit with declaring a COI, what would happen? Would it still be rejected? As I think it is relevant to the section, particularly our role in Pizza Hut's largest rebrand in 2014. I also did include a link to our website talking about our rebrand, but only to source my edit, I can probably find a third-party design magazine that reported on this project if this is preferable? @Lorcs: Wikipedia is uninterested in what companies wish to say about themselves, either directly or through their paid representatives. Articles on Wikipedia are paraphrased summaries of information previously published in sources that are both reliable (having an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight) and independent of the subject (having no personal, financial or political interest in the subject). Primary sources affiliated with the subject can be used to verify basic facts and figures, but little else.

You are welcome to make edit requests on the talk pages of the articles about your company's clients, but you must first make the proper declaration of your employment per Wikipedia's mandatory and non-negotiable paid editing disclosure policy. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:45, 5 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fully understood. Like I say, I felt the information was relevant to Pizza Hut's largest rebrand as had already been discussed in the article and thought it would be nice to see our role recognised in how they've positioned their UK brand.
