Sundhnúkur[edit]

Sundhnúkur is not the crater row but rather a small hill. The crater row right next to it is called Sundhnúkagígaröð, with the -gígaröð part meaning "crater row". 212.55.53.166 (talk) 04:06, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

corrected hopefully with choice of word Sundhnúkagígaröðin which I understand is even more descriptive ChaseKiwi (talk) 19:07, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see the compromise did not apparently work in another article and term Sundhnúkur crater row had crept in again into article so have introduced wording Sundhnúksgígar crater row on grounds we accept in other articles on Iceland compound redundant clarification across languages such as Tindfjallajökull glacier as Tindfjallajökull also common term now for the volcano rather than Tindfjöll which is just part of the volcano.
