Royalty Payments[edit]

I removed (among other things) a claim that royalty payments to Maynard contributed to the decision to abandon the Maynard primer and go back to the percussion lock. This particular claim was not cited, and everything I have ever read about the Model 1855 cites the lack of reliability of the Maynard Primer as the reason for its abandonment. If anyone can find a cite regarding royalties I will gladly add it back into that section. Engineer comp geek (talk) 16:44, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
