I don't think that the line "It was the last flagship SLR made by Nikon" is correct. As Nikon is still producing the Nikon F6 (the only film camera still being produced by Nikon, how could it not be their flagship film SLR?) and the Nikon D2X while not being a film camera it is still a Single-lens reflex camera.

Easy. The Nikon F6 is seen by many as the last Film SLR to be made by them. While this is true, the F6 lacks the backing that the F1-5 enjoyed... The F6 is akin to the Nikon Nsomethingorother, which was basically for those who wanted to do film, yet were used to the Dxx layout. KeineLust90 (talk) 02:30, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That still leaves the statement as essentially untrue. That Nikon devotees don't LIKE the F6 still leaves it as Nikon's film flagship in the present day lineup, and as Nikon's intended successor to the F5. Also, Nikon digital SLRs are still SLRs and any such statement at either this article or the F6's needs the 'film' qualifier. Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 19:55, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
