Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is an important historical building in Ireland. --7eventy7 (talk) 17:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The usual criterion for inclusion in Wikipedia is explained here. Very basically, we only summarise information that's already published in reliable sources that're independent of the subject. We do this to ensure both that our information is verifiable, and that it can be written neutrally. This article has sufficient sourcing to not be deleted without a discussion, but I'm skeptical it'd survive a discussion without further sources. WilyD 10:43, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Additional sources have been included such as reference to a book about historic buildings in Ireland. There are over 760 results in google books for Marlfield House. Marlfield House is a historic Irish building, a protected (listed) structure built in 18th century. It was a former residence of Earls of Courtown and is definitely notable. --7eventy7 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:36, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
