Other editions not to forget: 7UP, Pace Car (64,79,94)) And there was one in 1972 (maybe 1971) that I've forgoten what it was called. GT350 or something like that in 1984.Feedloadr 17:06, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One other edition... The DECH Mustang that was made from the late 1980s and into the early 1990s. I didn't do a writeup as I'm only going from memory... but there is a Dech Motorsports page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=info&gid=5751909670 The company is now gone as is their website. -petersterncan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Petersterncan (talkcontribs) 21:16, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regional Specials[edit]

Don't forget regional specials as well - Like California Special, High Country, Blue Bonnet, 600, Twister, Color of the Month, etc. There are MANY regional specials out there and Ford is back at it with the S197 with the California Edition and the Stampede Edition (Oklahoma and Texas).

40th Anniversary Missing Info[edit]

Also, the 40th anniversary mustang came in three colors... Oxford White, Black, and Crimson Red. There were 4,529 Crimson Red produced out of the 5700 units made leaving 1171 black and oxford white. The package was available on Premium GT and V6 Mustangs. So far there is no breakdown of how many GT or V6's were produced in each color. Stripes were Arizona Beige as were the wheel accents. 65.169.130.2 19:50, 24 July 2007 (UTC)rebaw[reply]

25th aniversery fiasco[edit]

You guys forgot to include in there the thing in 1989 when ford forgot to do a 25th aniversery so halfway through the year they added a badge to the dash.

watch the NPOVs... i rewrote 2 segments based on that 121.6.191.249 05:04, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ford FR500C[edit]

There is a page I found that is linked to this page called Ford FR500C, although stub sized, shall I redirect it here as it is too stub sized to be on its own page. Willirennen 20:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changing main article[edit]

I created an article for the Saleen S281. Should we now change the main article for the Saleen variant to that? Zach4636 (talk) 13:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One of a kind Ford mustang[edit]

I also posted the following on the talk page of the Ford Mustang article.

Hi to everyone involved with this article, my brother has just returned from a holiday to the USA during his time he went to the 2008 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh air show in Wisconsin. There was a ford mustang there which is a one of a kind built especially for the event. I have a photo of it, if you guys would like a copy of it to add to this article just let me know.

I just found a reference for it here.[1]--Theoneintraining (talk) 04:15, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ford mustang AV8ER picture added[edit]

I added the picture of the AV8ER finally after a few failed attempts.--Theoneintraining (talk) 04:08, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AV8ER deleted[edit]

To CJ DUB I do not agree with you deleting the AV8ER from the article, I think you should at least ask for clarification on the talk page before completely removing it from the article. If you look at the reference you will find it is made by Ford Racing so that is probably why it is under the race variants section. Either way it is still a mustang variant and should remain on the article under race variants or something else.--Theoneintraining (talk) 02:52, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

cobra jet[edit]

someone should update the template and mustang cobra article to include this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.213.51 (talk) 13:19, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Missing Shelbys[edit]

There is no information on the old Shelby Cobra GT350, the old Shelby Cobra GT500, the new or old Shelby GT350, Shelby GT350R, the new or old Shelby GT500, the Ford Shelby GT, the Barrett-Jackson Shelby GT, the Shelby Terlingua, or the Ford Shelby GT500 Prudhomme Edition Super Snake in the Ford Mustang variants article, but there is information on them in the Shelby Mustang article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.216.91.40 (talk) 00:35, 26 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar[edit]

I'm no grammar nazi, but the grammar in this article is atrocious. I stopped after the second correction. I gave up after the fifth run-on sentence.

Agree on the Shelbys[edit]

Especially the 2013 Shelby Cobra GT. I hauled a few of these, they are simply awesome. They are factory svt modifications. I'm also surprised to see no mention of the Boss 302 here, which has also been reintroduced in the past three years.

Finally, I hit the link to McClaren, and that page is incomplete too. I hauled a couple McClaren Mustangs from the Dearborn (Rouge) plant in 89 I think, they were 88 models, or in 90 for 89s. It took a year to ship them to England, do their magic, and ship them back. McClaren did a complete teardown and rebuild of the engines, along with some suspension and body mods. Something close to 500 were built, the yard in Dearborn was full of them that week. Wish I had pics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.54.213.162 (talk) 03:17, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

1966 Mustero[edit]

I'm very surprised to see NO mention of the 1966 Mustero Mustang/pickup variant, especially since it is listed on the List of Ford vehicles. If the main author of the page would like to correct this oversight, I have found an excellent reference article on the subject at:

https://www.throttlextreme.com/1966-ford-mustero-ford-mustang-pickup/

I offer this because I know how proprietary people can be about the pages they maintain. Gil gosseyn (talk) 19:29, 9 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
