It's being vandalized due to a possible police pursuit he is in. Snowboarder2713 (talk) 08:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Until we get confirmation from reliable sources, we should hold off on it being the article. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:17, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
KCAL news confirmed it almost 15 minutes ago now.
KCAL news has not confirmed it. They are just reporting that they are receiving phone calls from people saying that they believe it to be him. They have not confirmed this. Snowboarder2713 (talk) 08:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Ok, let's leave that for the top section, not here. Does anyone else here feel like the talk page needs protection? I think most of the nonsense has stopped. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:22, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

If it's stopped, then we don't need it. It was just getting really bad for a while. Snowboarder2713 (talk) 08:25, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

It's typical though. Wait until the news about who it actually is hits. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 08:28, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

It's funny, once I heard it on KCAL I immediately thought, uh oh, the IPs are going to go nuts on Wikipedia and I submitted a report to RPP requesting semi on the articleas quickly as possible, though immediately there was absolute pandemonium on this page. I fear that no mattter what happens this page is still going to be an anon ip target Valley2city 09:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

No, KCAL in Los Angeles has named him as the possible suspect. BaShildy (talk) 08:07, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

It's not confirmed, but KCAL9 is speculating that it is. Goodralph (talk) 08:08, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't see any speculation of identity (either as DJK or any other name mentioned) in either relevant story on the KCAL9 webpage at this time. Best to wait until we actually have a specifically-citable RS about this. DMacks (talk) 08:29, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

On Feb, 9 2009 he led on a chase.Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). Police are following a white Bentley with Illinois license plates. The driver is allegedly wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

This pursuit began at about 7:55 p.m. on the 4000 block of Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood, near Universal Studios. The vehicle drove south on the 101 Freeway through downtown and into Commerce, where it exited the freeway, turned around, and then drove North on the 5 Freeway. Eventually it transitioned onto the 405 Freeway and has gone through the LAX area, and has driven across downtown.

The vehicle has maintained very slow speeds approxmately 30 to 40 miles per hour, and often signaling before making a lane change. It has stopped at intersections and red lights, obeying most traffic laws.

The Bentley slowed to a stop on northbound Lankershim Blvd. in Universal City. Then the trunk of the car opened, but there was no further movement. ABC7's camera caught a glimpse of the suspect in the driver's seat. The driver could be seen wearing sunglasses and talking on a mobile phone, and he appeared to be holding a handgun.

EMT's do not have to give oxygen to a living patient. There are times when you can kill a patient with oxygen. If their body is using secondary chemo receptors and are on high flow o2 for a sustained period of time, their breathing rate will eventually decrease and can kill them. 169.232.116.251 (talk) 21:10, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Criticism

DJ Khaled is often criticized for many reasons, but chief among them is the structuring of his tracks with too many guest performers. In addition, he doesn't really have a role on any of his albums, with the exception of talking ad libitum over many of the tracks (which many have expressed their grievances with). This lack of any real talent has left him to be the butt of a multitude of negative publicity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnnyczecho (talkcontribs) 02:13, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

The second sentence says, "Khaled has described himself as a devout Jewish.[8]" However, this is false because the reference (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DJ_Khaled#cite_note-larryking-8) to the Vice article clearly states "Larry asks Khaled about his Muslim faith, to which he responds that he is devout, but could do a better job at it. He prays more than ten times a day, whenever he walks in and out of a room." It is obvious from this that he is not a devout Jewish, but a devout Muslim. I couldn't edit the page because it is protected and I just made an account. I don't know who wrote this and created reference 8, but they obviously had a fundamental misunderstanding of the Vice article and the exchange between Larry King and Khaled. InfiniteJackOatmon

Add Jay-Z to the frequent collaborators list for 3 if we are including remixes

The songs are : They Don't Love You No More Go Hard (Remix) I Got The Keys

Also remove Ace Hood's X under a major key album feature and lower the count.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.217.233.179 (talk) 15:39, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

This line is the 4th sentence under Biography and under the subsection: 1975–2003: Early life and career beginnings

Khaled starting developing an interest in rap and soul music at a young age and his parents supported his interest.

Please change starting to started, so the line reads as follows: Khaled started developing an interest in rap and soul music at a young age and his parents supported his interest. Singhsa.1976 (talk) 09:29, 11 December 2016 (UTC)

Done! Thanks for pointing that out. regards, DRAGON BOOSTER 09:47, 11 December 2016 (UTC).

In the BET Awards section, the link for DJ Khaled's single "Shining" does not point directly to the song's page; instead, it leads here: Shining. Since I am a new editor, I cannot change this, as the article is semi-protected. Contribute2day (talk) 16:15, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

I do not mean to be intrusive, but I have changed the title of the section. To get someone's attention, write a title like the one above. Andwhat58490 (talk) 20:36, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Done! Thank you for those details! Every875 (talk) 22:19, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

Recurring collaborators encyclopedic?

This seems exactly trivia, like a fan collection, and per WP:INDISCRIMINATE should be removed. Cornerstonepicker (talk) 05:10, 25 August 2016 (UTC)

@Karst, Chasewc91, Foxnpichu, Lawsilly, Elhenzo, and Distortiondude:

Removing a large section which has been a part of the article for years should have been discussed first.

Recurring collaborators tables provide a good overview of the work of the artist. There are many examples of articles where they have been used, such as:

Sometimes they are the subject of entire articles:

The reason musicians' articles don't have such lists is that it is rare for a musician to have an extensive list of collaborating musicians spanning across most of their albums, which is the case with DJ Khaled.

Claiming WP:INDISCRIMINATE means all the articles above should be deleted as well. As for original research, all the information is easily verifiable (just go to each album's own page). 2Flows (talk) 09:16, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Just because X has a list of recurring collaborators doesn't mean Y should. For example, there are numerous third party sources that discuss recurring Lynch and Burton collaborators and the significance of it on their body of work. Where are such sources for DJ Khaled? Chase (talk | contributions) 15:47, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
There is no need for such sources for a summary section in an article. Notability guidelines do not apply to content within an article. Whether this is notable to be a stand-alone list does not matter, because this is not a stand-alone list; it just provides an overview of the work and collaborations of the artist, which is a good summary to have in the article. 2Flows (talk) 01:17, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Pitch Perfect 3 Appearance

Hi. I recently added mention of DJ Khaled's appearance in the movie Pitch Perfect 3, but then someone else reverted it right away with no explanation. I don't understand what happened, or what I'm supposed to do now. Can I put that back? I thought he was great in that movie, and it was really awesome. DJ Khaled is still Palestinian even if he lives in America. Therefore I think that it should be changed to “Palestinian American” Yarajadallah (talk) 15:06, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Muslim

Can anyone confirm that he is actually a Muslim? Being Palestinian doesn't automatically qualify. — 07:44, 5 July 2007 (UTC) Hizrael

He is a muslim, check out his newest album cover, he has an Allah chain written in arabic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.102.16.157 (talk) 07:53, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Anybody could have an Allah chain written in Arabic; it doesn't automatically qualify, either. --Geniac 15:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes but to have a chain like that, in islam it is a significant part and shows his beleif in his religion, therefore does qualify, it would be disrespectful for a non muslim to have an Allah chain, also, DJ Khaled is of Palestinian descent, 80% of Palestine is made up of Muslims, therefore that leaves enough evidence to qualify that Dj Khaled is a Muslim —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wakash1 (talkcontribs) 09:44, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

^^^^ Arab Christians, especially in the Middle east DO refer to God as Allah, it is simply the Arabic term for God, it does not determine their religion.

Muslim allegations

Arab Muslims, Christians and Jews alike use the word Allah for God, HOWEVER, only Muslims wear Allah chains, that is specifically a determination of the Islamic religion. --67.80.174.252 (talk) 03:19, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

To get the facts straight, read the articles on Allah and Arab American; note that most Arab Americans are Christians, but only about 20% are Muslims. To determine Khaled's religion we need a source that says "Khaled is [religion]", not your own guesses.--Andrewlp1991 (talk) 22:41, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
That's correct, but since we are bringing up the article on Arab Americans and saying that only 20% are Muslims, that is mostly due to the large population of Lebanese (the breakdown by region is in the article and the supporting website). The data for Palestinian Americans in the article and support shows that they are overwhelmingly Muslim. I agree that religion should not be mentioned unless there is a source which explicitly states it. I just want to point out that the Arab American argument is flawed due to the large number of Lebanese Christian immigrants who came to the US in the early 20th century who make up the majority of Arab Americans. 208.255.169.2 (talk) 15:27, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Recent Palestinian immigrants are mostly Muslim however overall the Palestinian immigrants to this country were historically overwhelmingly Christian. In addition, it is not specifically the Lebanese immigrants who account for the large Christian Arab population in the USA, Syrians, Palestinians and Egyptians also account for much of this population.--66.147.177.155 (talk) 15:40, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh, common... He has muslim name and Allah chain, that's enough to say that he is a born-muslim. Arab Christians don't give muslim names to their kids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.134.34.20 (talk) 23:21, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
