I am going to remove the following sentence and sentence fragment:

Brian is also one of the "famous faces" [1]. due to being a regular player on the online poker website Hollywood Poker which is run in conjunction with Ongame Network.

It isn't grammatically correct, I can't figure out what it's trying to say, and it reads suspiciously like an advertisement. The reference leads to a password-protected page at a poker site. If anyone wants to try to find a real source, go for it. Jodamn 21:13, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"The Office" description as an NBC Television show holds an universal importance over limited description of an "American adaptation"[edit]

@SportingFlyer: This article currently merely describes the television show "The Office" as an American adaptation, which you claim is somehow more specific for an "international audience" (i.e., foreign, those countries other than the US who may have once briefly broadcast this version of the show - as if that's all that matters here - an unbelievably provincial viewpoint, btw), however, this description stands as written as thoroughly incomplete and lacks information more easily identifiable for American readers. That the adaptation is an US television show, it would help this article, at the very least, from a historical perspective to prominently disclose the broadcast network responsible for showing this particular series. The idea that the current version of the article is more specific to an international/foreign audience is a short-sighted, inaccurate and specious argument at best, anyway. Citing the importance of an international/foreign audience for the purposes of this article is more than a bit disingenuous, as this show has had very limited exposure outside of the US, whereas, in the US, it is an extremely popular and highly-ranked show and still is in heavy rotation since the show's end on several US networks in a syndicated format. Also, as previously stated in the revision history of the article, the hyperlinked title "The Office" clearly states that the show is an adaptation, making any mention of this fact in this article unnecessary and especially redundant. The term "American adaptation" is actually *less* specific than the descriptor "NBC sitcom" for *any* audience, as the limited need to research the national origin of NBC can be eliminated simply by linking NBC to its corresponding WP page.71.112.246.220 (talk) 21:42, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Just to be clear to everyone involved, I reverted text which changed "the American adaptation of The Office" to the "NBC sitcom The Office." There have been a number of adaptations of The Office in a number of different countries, it is not immediately clear to readers NBC is an American broadcasting channel, and requiring readers to click on a link to disambiguate which Office isn't necessarily helpful.
