The 2024–25 Süper Lig, officially called the Trendyol Süper Lig 2024–25 season, is the 67th season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey.
Teams[edit]
A total of 19 teams contest the league, including 16 sides from the 2023–24 season and 3 promoted teams from 2023–24 TFF First League. The bottom four teams will be relegated to the 2025–26 TFF First League. As of April 28th, 2024, seven teams have mathematically ensured their survival in the league and two teams have secured promotion to the league (Eyüpspor, promoted for the first time in their history, and Göztepe, promoted back after 2 years).
Changes from last season[edit]
İstanbulspor was the first team that had been relegated to 2024–25 TFF First League after a 2-1 loss to Fatih Karagümrük at home on 20 April 2024, ending its two-year stay in Süper Lig. The second team relegated was Fatih Karagümrük, who sealed their fate after a 3-1 loss against Gaziantep at away on 18 May 2024 and ended their four-year stay in the top flight. Pendikspor was the third one had been relegated to second level after a 1-0 loss to Gaziantep at home 26 May 2024, ending its one-year stay in top level. Finally fourth team relegated was Ankaragücü, who sealed their fate after a 4-2 loss against Trabzonspor at away on 26 May 2024 and ended their two-year stay in the top flight. This meaned no Ankara team participated in Süper Lig after 2 years.
The first promoted team was Eyüpspor whose 4–1 won home against Altay on 23 April 2024 promoted to Süper Lig for the first time in their history. The second team that got promoted is Göztepe, who a 2-0 won against Gençlerbirliği at home on 28 April 2024 and returned to the top flight after 2 years. This meaned İzmir would be represented after 2 years. The third and final team to qualify for Süper Lig will be determined after Sakaryaspor-Bodrumspor play-off final on 30 May 2024 in Adana.[2]
