Disclosure[edit]

This edit-a-thon is being run for the benefit of those in the MIT community as a way to help reduce Wikipedia's gender gap, both on the pages of Wikipedia and in the percentage of women contributing as editors. I, as host, am a longtime Wikipedia contributor and new MIT employee. We will attempt to steer clear of conflicts of interest during this event; if anyone has questions about the intent and purpose of this event, please leave a message here or on my talk page. Please also note that edits created as a result of this edit-a-thon may contain some mistakes in syntax or format, as the gathering is focused on teaching inexperienced editors the basics.
