Please, just make sure you set a hard date at *least* one week in advance. If you do this I'll be able to set a geonotice which should greatly increase the turnout. Really you should aim for a hard date set at least two weeks out. Doing so will also make it easier for people who might travel some distance to come. --Gmaxwell 15:22, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Location[edit]

Is Birmingham the final decision then? If so, this may as well be moved to Wikipedia:Meetup/Birmingham 2. - Zeibura (Talk) 00:51, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For this time round, yes. I suppose the London stuff can be added to a new page nearer December. Majorly (talk) 00:55, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ping people?[edit]

Might consider poking people who signed the locations lists; probably they don't have this watchlisted and would appreciate a reminder, unless they a) already signed dates or b) said "no" to Birmingham. 79.64.137.120 22:21, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lifts[edit]

Hi, I don't know if this is the appropriate place, but it would be nice to have a place to organize lifts (or trains) so that people that come from the same area can start the meetup a bit earlier (on the road). BTW, I'd be happy if someone could give me a lift from somewhere near Cambridge. --Cruccone 13:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
