Thanks.I have included 6 references, all of them reliable (the Guardian, the University of Warwick, Duke University Press, AHRC, a PDF of a document). I believe that 6 references are quite a good number for such a short entry. You can ask professor Stephen Gundle himslef: he will confirm that everything that is written there is true. @2.30.2.222: One for each and every claim that could potentially be challenged. We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Every biographical claim that could potentially be challenged for any reason what-so-ever MUST be cited to a strong third-party source that corroborates it or, if no such source(s) can be found, removed wholesale. I'd like to contribute more to Wikipedia, so I've chosen to start pages about books I've read that don't already have pages. Three things confuse me. 1. Consistency. Are there rules for which books deserve to have Wikipedia pages and which ones don't? Are the rules applied consistently? If not, why not? How can I know which rules apply to a book I would like to add? 2. Noteworthiness. What makes a book worthy of having a Wikipedia page? Why would we want to exclude any book from Wikipedia? 3. References. When a Wikipedia contributor writes a summary of a book's content, such as plot and characters in the case of a novel, what kind of references are required?
