June 11[edit]

03:28:53, 11 June 2021 review of submission by Mitchell Blincoe[edit]

Hi,

I have received feedback on an article I submitted, that it reads like an advertisement.

May I find out which sections of the draft have come across this way? It will be useful to me as a Wikipedia contributor to know how my future articles should be written in a way that abides by Wikipedia’s guidelines.

Thank you, and appreciate your assistance on this. Mitchell Blincoe (talk) 03:28, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Well it starts with a spam link to the business and then continues with, promotional puffery sourced to a series of press releases. Theroadislong (talk) 07:12, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

04:58:03, 11 June 2021 review of submission by AliAbbasiqaz[edit]

Hi, If you accept this page, its students are motivated to complete its page. I talk with students and we need a page in Wiki to introduce our dep. AliAbbasiqaz (talk) 04:58, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@AliAbbasiqaz: Thats not how it works. You and all students probbably want to have a read of WP:YFA, WP:COI, Wikipedia:FAQ/Schools and also probbably Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. Wikipedia is not built for subjects talking about itself (you can use social media for that) but is mainly interested in what people independent of the subject have written in reliable sources. Victor Schmidt (talk) 05:08, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To follow your idea, College_of_Allamah_Majlesi needs a page at least. Let me know how we can have a page. Thanks for help. AliAbbasiqaz (talk)

Suyash Pachauri (talk) 05:24, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SuyashVP: This doesn't even remotely look like an encaclopedic article. See WP:YFA for more info about what you should do when you attempt to create one. If you are Suyash Pachauri, you might also want to read Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. Victor Schmidt (talk) 05:32, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Suyash Pachauri (talk) 05:52, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No content apart from a pretty photo, so zero chance of being accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 07:09, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

07:01:53, 11 June 2021 review of draft by APizzaBoy[edit]

The reference I use is weak for my subjected author biography. He has got development and coding badges from Roblox but Roblox is blacklisted by wikipedia for their sites. Additionally the author has coverage in Amazon after his book is #10 in history. Why my work is rejected and why Roblox is blacklisted! APizzaBoy (talk) 07:01, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft has zero reliable independent sources so no chance whatsoever of being accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 07:08, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To add to that, most of the stuff listed in the reference section isn't verifyable without first asking Google. If these are newspaper names, provide at least newspaper name, edition number, article name, author (if available) and probbably page number. For web sources, please provide a deep URL to the content in question. Roblox.com is blacklisted since December 2017 because it was misused and doesn't meet WP:RS anyway. Aksbazi (talk) 09:07, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

hello, I want to know the reason of decling my article(Davood Vakilzadeh) , please tell me the reason for fixing it.Thanks a lot.Aksbazi (talk) 09:07, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The reason is in the large pink decline notice at the top of the page, namely: The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. Your draft also has zero reliable independent sources. Theroadislong (talk) 09:33, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's also an autobiography, based on the picture's description on Wikimedia Commons. pandakekok9 (talk) 10:40, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

12:52:11, 11 June 2021 review of submission by Bderigbemi[edit]

I understand this article was rejected because it's a duplicate of Michael Owhoko, what do you advice please? Bderigbemi (talk) 12:52, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bderigbemi As the original draft was rejected, it will not be considered further, and you should move on to another topic. 331dot (talk) 12:56, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

16:55:03, 11 June 2021 review of draft by Pyrolistical[edit]

I currently am the owner of AST SpaceMobile draft entry. I wish to transfer ownership of the draft to Caged Debts if possible. I understand I will lose my ability to edit the draft and Caged Debts will then be responsible for handling the submission process.

Pyrolistical (talk) 16:55, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Pyrolistical You seem to have a misunderstanding as to how Wikipedia operates. No editor "owns" an article or draft. Once you click "publish changes", the edit belongs to Wikipedia. As such, you cannot transfer ownership to other editors, nor do other editors need your permission to edit pages. Conversely, you may make edits without asking for permission from others. 331dot (talk) 16:59, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If Caged Debts knows where the draft is already, literally nothing is stopping them from editing it. If they are willing to continue working on the draft, we're not going to try and stop them. Likewise, you don't own the draft, and can just stop editing it at any time without making a big deal of it. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 07:24, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

shri44 (talk) 17:17, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Smartshri99 your draft has been totally rejected. This happens when there is no likelihood of notability being established. Please feel free to ask there rejecting reviewer to give you any additional rationale. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 17:24, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

17:40:50, 11 June 2021 review of submission by Nur781[edit]

Nur781 (talk) 17:40, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Nur781: Your draft was rejected because its subject wasn't notable. You can read about what makes a person notable at this link. Let us know if you have any questions.

18:20:06, 11 June 2021 review of draft by JazzWikiMan[edit]

The page that I have created for Ryo Fukui's seminal album Ryo Fukui in New York has been declined twice, because the reviewer didn't recognize Discogs as a good source. However, Discogs is used on MANY jazz album pages!! I only used Discogs for the track listing. Look at any streaming platform. The information is correct and valid. This page is necessary. Ryo Fukui's status as one of the main figures in Japanese jazz means that EVERY album from his discography should have a Wikipedia page. Thank you for your help. JazzWikiMan (talk) 18:20, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

However, Discogs is used on MANY jazz album pages!! That argument is a nonstarter here. Victor Schmidt (talk) 18:30, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Discogs is never an acceptable source because, like Wikipedia, its content is user-generated. Those other articles citing Discogs need to be edited to get rid of it. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 07:21, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
