Thanks to all the editors for reviewing the content. I appreciate it. I am a Technical Writer/Editor by profession (unpaid for this effort) with over 23 years of experience but my first working on a Wiki article. I appreciate civil, constructive feedback as some of you have provided. I will certainly take a shot at building citations (I have source lined up) and remove some of the blatant seemingly reverent but not "drooly" (an uncivil term) to use in a forum such as, Wikipedia.

Also, Nair/Nayar is a community and many have the same last names, which doesn't make them related to the subject. The content was created from third party references, such as University catalogs (again, not stuff), any many of the references were not passing.

As for the manner in which Wiki is laid out, let me provide some feedback. It is convoluted and not user-friendly. I had to hunt for about 2 days to gather a template, understand the working and due to my experience as a technical writer on API and HTML content, I was able to figure things out.

Finally, when pushing into name spaces, I stopped short due to the magnitude of warning messages that appeared formidable. Hope my feedback is viewed in the best light to improve the "How to" on Wiki pages

The more you work here, the more you will recognize the problems with the help system; the difficult part is fixing it. In a commercial organization, one could find some new hireto assign it to; but we are dependent on volunteers, and nobody will do any thing unless they want to. Since the system grew incrementally by different editors adding different pieces as they felt like, and others modifying them as the felt like it, and they all have different ideas of how an instruction system should work, and do not necessarily agree in the interpretation of the rules, or how things ought do work, and there is no mechanism for testing, it's not surprising we ended up this way. For most processes there are multiple possible ays of doing things, invented at different times, and all co-existing. The most that has been possible is to try to remove or revise old sections that are obsolete or no longer conform to current consensus, and even this tends to be done only when someone motivated notices.

As you have apparently discovered, many of the key functions are hidden in complicated templates. The ones for review of new articles are particular jerry-rigged. I've been doing this for many years, and sometimes need to resort to manual work-arounds, or ask someone for help. DGG ( talk ) 00:01, 1 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
