This article was rejected many months ago based on a AfD from February 2020, but now I think It has been expanded with lot of new information, sources, notable improvements and lot of new WP:SIGCOV since that, It can still be expanded, written in better way and improved but I think its time to publish the draft. Creating a citation, the author's name is Chi Ming Lai but the citation template wants a 'last name' and 'first name'. I've had experience with Asian names where the last name is actually the first word, but with this author I've not been able to confirm that. In my draft, I've just put the whole name in the 'last name' field. Is this okay, or is there a different field I should be using when the last name/first name order is not known...? I want to know what problem happened in this article due to which it is not a notable article. This article completes the WP:BASIC criteria which is:

People are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.

There are 10 sources on the page that fall into the requirements on the page. He is a Bollywood FILMMAKER and is also named in another Wikipedia article, Newspaper.

This Article also follows "WP:AUTHOR" criteria.

Could you please explain why this article not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia?

The review will take a while because AfC is perennially backlogged. That said, we are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident; the draft contains unsourced claims in it, which will lead to it being declined. @Sugarmonkey123: Per our general notability guideline, a person is considered notable if they have received significant coverage (in depth content written about them) in multiple, mainstream, reliable sources, (i.e. ones with editorial oversight and fact-checking) that are independent of the subject (not press releases, not their blogs, not interviews they've done). If a business magazine, for example, has written in depth about the subject, where he attended school, what investments he's made, commented or critiqued his portfolio, blah blah, then you'd be a step closer. The sort of coverage found in Heavy might be along those lines, but the community doesn't consider it a very strong source. Given how quickly I've seen them dump these 5 Fast Facts pieces, they strike me more as a content-scraping site vs. a site that researches the subjects it writes about. And unfortunately, notability is not inherited, so being the son of a famous person doesn't make a person notable. Another example: A person could have founded a notable company, but if newspapers haven't written about the person who founded it, that person may not meet our notability criteria. The reviewer comment mentions boardgame websites not being reliable but those are not the only sources being used. Several sources link to articles and comments written by notable game designers discussing the impact of the game on their own designs.

"Ayu was selected for the 2015 Codecup challenge. Contestants had to create a program that could play the game and then compete against each other. Sergey Povalikhin created the winning program.[14]"

This in particular links to the contest website in addition to several links to the abstract strategy game magazine "abstract games for the competitive thinker"

These are not just board game websites nor are they linked to the creator.

Christian Freeling's website also houses articles he write regarding various game he and others have invented.

I am confused as to why climate emergency in Australia does not have enough "information" to be regarded as an important enough page almost 100 local government jurisdictions have declared a climate emergency in Australia and its useful to know which councils those are. This information is really useful to people in the climate movement and a page mapping when councils have declared a climate emergency is useful. I also want to know why some of the references were regarded as not reliable most were news or official Council pages. How do I find out exactly which references the editor had an issue with. How do I avoid the page being deleted as I improve on it. I put many hours into it.

Greenie2020 The draft is not in danger of deletion as long as it is not inactive for 6 months. Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources state, not what primary sources state. This means that any article like this should summarize the reporting of these declarations, not the declarations themselves. 331dot (talk) 09:46, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
