July 20[edit]

00:06:12, 20 July 2019 review of submission by Tidushuyin[edit]

I'm not sure why this doesn't qualify as an article. I have created most of the album articles for Avalon the group over the past few years. I am not being paid for the creation of this information. I copied the info over from the previous album and filled in the known information on the upcoming album. Why does this article keep being rejected? I have provided 2 sources to prove the validity of the information. Thank you. Tidushuyin (talk) 00:06, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

04:29:32, 20 July 2019 review of submission by MA6DJ[edit]

so how can I have the article? what should I do to prove that it's not a promotional article? MA6DJ (talk) 04:29, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@MA6DJ: You can't have the article. Unlike sites such as Facebook or LinkedIn, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. It is not a place where everyone may have a page. DJMA6 is not notable, they do not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:59, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

06:46:10, 20 July 2019 review of submission by 2600:1012:B024:4A36:7CF3:3640:93D8:64FF[edit]

Subject has been the topic of world wide media.

Here is an example article found on the official website of the Daily Star in the UK: https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/weird-news/781992/time-traveller-god-weird-lil-corey-california-united-states-rapper-kanye-west

WP:RSP classifies the Daily Express and Daily Star (United Kingdom) as generally unreliable, sources that should not normally be used, and should never be used for information about a living person. They are sensationalist and gossip-driven tabloids. Generally speaking, self-promotion is not the route to being the subject of an encyclopedia article. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:23, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

07:55:17, 20 July 2019 review of draft by Dirk-Franz[edit]

I added additional sources and appraisals as requested. Now, I am not sure whether I have to re-submit the draft or whether this will be done automatically and I would have simply to wait for decision. --Dirk-Franz (talk) 07:55, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dirk-Franz (talk) 07:55, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dirk-Franz. The draft has been in the pool to be reviewed since the end of March. The current backlog is about 4 months. Only 80 drafts have been waiting longer than this one, so it's likely that it will be reviewed in the next week or two. Any changes you've made up until the moment it is reviewed will be considered in the review; you don't have to take any further action for that to happen. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:29, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, Worldbruce, for the rapid response. I am already keen to see the results of the review --Dirk-Franz (talk) 15:39, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dirk-Franz: - you'll need to resubmit (the blue button in the red box) Nosebagbear (talk) 13:29, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the rapid reply, Nosebagbear, however I can't find a blue button in the red box; in fact, in the red box it is written, that the up-dated version had already been submitted; now I am confused --Dirk-Franz (talk) 15:39, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

13:24:28, 20 July 2019 review of submission by Nangoosari[edit]

15:23:25, 20 July 2019 review of submission by LorriBrown[edit]

I've created three drafts recently that I've inserted the AfC submission. The manner in which I inserted the code did not result in a date stamp which I believe may be affecting its status although I am not very familiar with the lists and how they are responded to by reviewers. Can you kindly take a look at Draft:Susan Aaron-Taylor to see if there are any problems. Her article was submitted on the 12th but it states it is pending for 3 days. The other two articles state zero days pending. Thank you! LorriBrown (talk) 15:23, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@LorriBrown: I ran Draft:Susan Aaron-Taylor, Draft:Walthamstow International Film Festival, and Draft:Michael de Courcy (artist) through the reviewer's cleaning tool and all seem fine now. A null edit might have worked just as well. I seem to remember that a bot maintains the categories, and occasionally goes down for a few days. Unless the problem becomes protracted, you needn't worry about it. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:19, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 17:56:36, 20 July 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by MaskedSinger[edit]

I created the page via AFC method and it was declined. I have no issue with this - wasn't expecting it to be perfect on the first go. But 2 attempts to reach out to the declining editor and have them elucidate have been ignored. This is why I am coming here. I contest that the page isn't notable - wouldn't have created it if I didn't think it was the case. Spent a lot of time researching it. If the language is promotional - fair enough, please provide examples where it is and I will rewrite it.

Editor has since gotten back to me so not sure how relevant this is. MaskedSinger (talk) 14:46, 21 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
