April 4[edit]

03:37:01, 4 April 2018 review of submission by TheGoldenArmor375[edit]

Good day, I am currently needing help for the creation of the basketball finals template for the MPBL. It should look like just like derived from the PBA conference finals infobox ones, in order to display correct information. I need this ASAP because the finals will start expected on April 12, Thursday. TheGoldenArmor375 (talk) 03:37, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TheGoldenArmor375 the layout isn't the issue with the article, it's the lack of sourcing for it. The main article will cover the topic, and a standalone article should only be written if it's worthwhile for a standalone article. What you have so far is a bracket, with no information, or referencing. I'd also argue, it fails WP:CRYSTALBALL. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 08:36, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So you mean the lack of references for the article and WP:CRYSTALBALL are the main problems of my draft? --TheGoldenArmor375 (talk) 15:04, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much. An article doesn't really need to made on the championships before anything is really known about it. At the moment, all of this information is in the main article as well, anyway. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 15:30, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adding an image is a two-step process: first upload it, then use it in on a page. It looks like you skipped directly to step two without uploading the file. You will need an account, either on Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons, to upload files.
Go to Commons:First steps and carefully step through the tutorial. When you get to "First steps/Uploading files", don't dive in too hastily. First follow the link on that page to learn about the different licensing options. Other useful advance reading includes Wikipedia:File names and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Images, which will prepare you to answer important questions the upload wizard will ask you. If after that you have any questions or doubts, Commons has its own help desk.
Once you've uploaded an image, the picture tutorial can guide you through how to use it on a page. If this is for Draft:The Quiet Year (board game), then the larger problem is that the draft cites no sources. Independent, in-depth, reliable, secondary sources are the foundation of any article. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Board and table games for topic-specific guidance and Wikipedia:Your first article for general instructions. --Worldbruce (talk) 13:17, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am a new user to Wikipedia, am only trying to make an addition to an existing page, Covenant Aviation Security. I do not plan on any long term creative or editing activity and just want to accomplish this simple add, later learning small tasks as needed. can you help? thanks. GaryS73 GaryS73 (talk) 18:29, 4 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GaryS73 - You should be able to edit Covenant Aviation Security; and from your editing history, it looks like you already have done in the past. I'm not sure what the issue is, although it looks like you've created a sandbox, that was rejected. The issue is that as much as you are allowed to put information in a sandbox, the article was placed for review, and denied (Mainly because we already have an article on the subject). The issue is that the information provided was also not in a tone suitable for an encyclopedia.
All additions to any page need to be from a Neutral Point of View. If you need any more help, let me know on my talk page Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 11:06, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
