01:04:46, 12 March 2017 review of submission by Urshakta[edit]

Hi there! I'm new to Wikipedia. Can you tell me how to create a stump article?

Hi Urshakta. Two general resources you may find useful are:
Yours is not the first attempt to create an article about Edie Harper. You should merge your work into Draft:Edie McKee Harper, a draft that never succeeded in demonstrating notability. Edie was frequently mentioned in connection with her husband's art, but Wikipedians had difficulty finding substantive information about her in her own right in independent reliable sources. Your draft surfaces some new sources that might help a combined draft get accepted (although your draft also sweeps in some blogs and commercial sites of questionable reliability - get rid of those). Let me know if I can be of further assistance. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:15, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi ZenIceHero. You don't have to go through the Articles for creation (or draft) process if you don't want to. You can simply click Vikings: Wolves of Midgard, type away, and click save. But if what you create is similar to the draft, the probability is 99.98% that it will be deleted within a matter of hours, something that would be frustrating to you and a waste of everybody's time.
Articles for creation gives you the space to draft an article that will survive. Free guidance is available from expert volunteers. It takes more time than simply clicking save. Reviewers will expect you to follow some policies and guidelines. They will make you cite reliable sources that demonstrate the topic is notable. Is it worth it to have an article that endures? --Worldbruce (talk) 18:50, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am new into creating pages in wikipedia , i am more used into creating pages in Wikias so i guess that i've made a mistake so i better leave the article creations to the more experienced members here on wikipedia! ZenIceHero (talk) 18:13, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please show me how to code an image into infobox...Thanks.

Hello, Romeo. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Our apologies for the delay in response. Adding images can be a complex process. You might want to read WP:Uploading images to get an introduction to the process. But adding an image will be wasted effort if you do not succeed in demonstrating that the subject of the draft meets our guidelines for notability (here, WP:MUSICBIO). Without that demonstration, it is unlikely that your draft will be accepted for publication. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 18:48, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

She has a Russian Wikipedia page. I have added more citations, but perhaps it is better to work on a translation of the Russian page? https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9B%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%BE,_%D0%92%D0%B8%D0%BA%D1%82%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F_%D0%92%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B5%D0%BD%D1%82%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%BD%D0%B0

Hi Sarabod99. It's okay to use Deutsche Welle and Words Without Borders as sources. They do little to establish notability, however. DW is an interview - Lomasko talking about Lomasko - with little independent analysis by the reporter, and WWB mentions Lomasko only briefly. The n+1 page is not a good source because its purpose is to sell her book, and the origin of the description there isn't clear - is it from the book jacket, from the publisher? I would replace it with a better source.
To demonstrate notability, the draft needs in-depth independent reliable sources. The New Yorker would be an excellent choice. You may also use reliable sources from the Russian Wikipedia article, but equivalent English sources are preferred, if available. Possible sources:
  • Kerneck, Barbara (20 May 2015). "Sich gegen Verbote wehren". Die Tageszeitung (in German). Berlin.
  • Bisikalo, Anna (10 October 2016). "Art and Politics Do Mix". Transitions Online. ISSN 1214-1615.
  • Pinkham, Sophie (26 February 2017). "Listening to Ordinary Russians by Drawing Them One by One". The New Yorker.
  • John Hockenberry interviews Victoria Lomasko (3 March 2017). World on Edge: Russia, The U.S. and History's Greatest Geopolitical Chess Match (Radio broadcast). New York: The Takeaway. Event occurs at 14:04 minutes in.
  • Blaisdell, Bob (6 March 2017). "Better Russia". Russian Life.
You can get the Transitions Online article through WP:RX or by emailing me. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:25, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
