Confused that the reason for decline is "not notable" The draft article is about Francisco Fort Museum and it's National Historic Plaza, which was built by Col. Francisco, of whom the fort is named for and who founded the town of La Veta, Colorado. The town of La Veta has a Wiki article soooo....how can the Fort/Plaza which he built in the town that he founded is not be notable? The Plaza, which is part of the FF Museum, is on the list of National Historic Registry. The Plaza is listed on the Wiki article for National Historic Registry, the town that the Plaza/FF Museum are located is an article on Wiki. I've referenced the La Veta, Colorado town article, and the National Registry Wiki article in the draft. The La Veta, Colorado article shows a photo "Old Ritter Schoolhouse" which is on the property of the FF Museum.

I am working with the museum director on this article. We will be adding more specific info about the fort but feel that what is currently included is a nice complement to the La Veta, Colorado article. We will be adding historic photo that are part of the Denver Digital Library and the museum's archives but I don't believe I can add them until the draft is approved.

I appreciate any advice you can provide. I realize I'm still a novice in the world of Wiki and have a lot to learn.

Hello Kholance, the issue isn't that the museum/plaza isn't notable, it is as the pink box says, "This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability". Right now your sourcing only shows that the museum and Fogelberg care about the museum. You must show that a body or journalists/academics have found the museum/plaza worth writing about, by citing more facts to other books, news articles, etc. Does that make sense?
This structure is on the NRHP, so it is definitely Notable per WP standards, it just needs proper sourcing (including a footnote to its NRHP listing). I'll also note, you spend way too much time talking about the history of the area and less about the museum; it'd be better to briefly summarize the history, using WP:wikilinks to direct readers wanting to know more to read the article for the town, people involved, etc. That way the article is sharply focused on the museum/plaza itself. @GoalisElevation: Your article wasn't rejected due to any question about whether or not it is the current occupant or how long it has been there. It was rejected because the way it was written sounded too promotional. I am also concerned that the restaurant may not meet Wikipedia's standards for the notability of companies. Specifically, most of the coverage of the restaurant appears to be routine coverage (which includes things like routine notices of the openings or closings and routine restaurant reviews), and I don't see the depth of significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article that is normally required for this type of article. --Ahecht (TALK

I need clarification. I have an image which I have gotten permission to reuse on Wikipedia, it is copyrighted and I have to put tags and links for the image. Sirius1225, please note there is no "you have permission to post this only on Wikipedia" license; the owner of the copyright must release it entirely under Creative Commons. Hello User:Margaret M Ford, the problem is that your draft is nothing like an article. Not speaking simply of formatting (though also a minor issue), but you simply don't provide any of the kind of information a biography of a writer entails. Have you read WP:Notability (writers) as was suggested to you? A writer bio must meet certain mandatory checks-in-the-box for demonstrating the level of third-party coverage their career has gained. Please read that guideline as suggested and it should answer 90% of your questions.
Also, if you're writing about yourself, be advised that's a very bad idea; see WP:Autobiography for why this is really discouraged. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:21, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just happened to find this draft today and tried my best to improve it. (FWIW, with this edit, I removed the subject’s unsourced birthdate and copyvio material of AllMusic. However, the user ToonLucas22 (talk · contribs) reverted my edit immediately, saying "Don't edit drafts that are not yours"[1]. Is it the first contributor’s draft which anyone else cannot edit? I think anyone can edit the pages, whether drafts or articles. Am I wrong? 118.8.33.35 (talk) 23:28, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@118.8.33.35: Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't there is any issue with constructively editing drafts created by other people that are in the "Draft:" namespace (drafts created under someone's user space, such as User:Ahecht/sandbox, are a slightly different issue, but that wasn't the case here). WP:OWN doesn't exclude drafts, and I don't think User:ToonLucas22 shouldn't have reverted your edit on that basis. I've restored your edits, but if ToonLucas22 (or anyone else) can point to a policy that prohibits editing drafts started by other people they can feel free to revert my change. --Ahecht (TALK

@Salesangelco: The reviewer felt that the subject of the article itself, that is "Angel Musical Instrument Co., Ltd.", didn't meet the notability standards of WP:CORP. I don't know enough Korean to evaluate the sources that you used, but make sure that your citations include significant coverage (not just mentions or directory listing) in reliable sources (such as newspapers) that are independent of the subject of the article (which means that they are not republishing a press release, interview, or other text provided by the company). While not required, adding an English-language source or two would be very helpful for the reviewers. If any reviewers are familiar with Korean sources, please chime in. --Ahecht (TALK
