@Sophiyaahmed: Please read the message left in the pink box at the top of your draft. Your article needs references to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. --Ahecht (TALK

Request on 11:16:06, 16 February 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by 86.8.233.128[edit]

Articles for creation: Heritage Hotel - Siolim, Goa (February 15) my article was declined but the text posted on other websites is our own promotional posted text. I had only tried to set up a page with brief history and was looking forward to contributing much more but a single para is even not excepted is very disappointing. how can I put this right?

86.8.233.128 (talk) 11:16, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@86.8.233.128: Wikipedia assumes that any text published on the web, unless it specifically states otherwise, is under copyright. If you would like to use text written by your company, please see WP:Donating copyrighted material. However, even if the copyright issues are resolved, most promotional text is not appropriate for Wikipedia, as it is often not written in the proper tone and is too promotional sounding. You are much better off trying to write things objectively in your own words, if you can maintain a neutral point of view. --Ahecht (TALK

16:47:12, 16 February 2015 review of submission by Marcucio[edit]

I am Working on the page for Get It Done https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Get_It_Done_(app) and I was told that it was reading like an advertisement. I was wondering what specifically read as an advertisement so that I can rewrite it and submit again. I tried to follow the format that a number of other apps are using:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Task_management_software https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_project_management_software

Thanks for the help any direction would be appreciated!

Marcucio (talk) 16:47, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Marcucio: Use of terms like "suited" "allows" "you" and "your" and a pricing section makes it sound promotional and as if some one is trying to sell it. We need to concentrate on encyclopedic information. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:39, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

17:34:00, 16 February 2015 review of submission by Jpharris06[edit]

Jpharris06 (talk) 17:34, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jpharris06: Per the note left on your draft by The Herald, your article needs more references to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article to establish notability. Obituaries and gallery listings are generally not considered significant coverage. --Ahecht (TALK

19:21:18, 16 February 2015 review of submission by Nikkolasd.12345[edit]

Nikkolasd.12345 (talk) 19:21, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

can somebody help my article take out copyright so it could get published?

@Nikkolasd.12345: If you're referring to User:Nikkolasd.12345/Girl Meets World (Pilot Episode), it has already been deleted for copyright infringement. If you want to recreate it, make sure to write it using entirely your own words without copying or pasting from any other website. However, the plot of this episode is already pretty well summarized at Girl Meets World#Episodes, so I'm not sure it needs its own article. --Ahecht (TALK

20:11:29, 16 February 2015 review of submission by Oogatha[edit]

Oogatha (talk) 20:11, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Oogatha: Please read the pink box at the top of Draft:Don Pendleton (artist) as well as the comment below. Your draft was rejected because you copied and pasted text from http://elephont.com/bio.htm AND because the subject of the article doesn't appear to meet the standards of WP:BIO. If you wish to improve your draft, you must rewrite anything that wasn't written in your own words and add citations to significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. --Ahecht (TALK
