02:52:10, 17 April 2015 review of submission by Ventdanieljay[edit]

There are 3 people who have made significant steps in ventriloquism by continuing the Maher Studio which is a place that was run by Clinton Detweiler for many years before his passing and got many involved and staying active in ventriloquism including Jeff Dunham, Willie Tyler and Terry Fator. The also started a International Ventriloquist Society online in 2013. They are also play a major part in the Vent Haven Ventriloquist Convention held in Cincinnati since 1974. Their names are Mark Wade, Ken Groves and Tom Crowl. As of yet I have not been able to get these gentleman on Wikipedia. You have Jeff Dunham and Terry Fator on Wikipedia and if you asked both of them they would tell you that these gentlemen belong on here as well. Please let me know what I need to do. If you need references from Jeff, Terry, Ronn Lucas, Jimmy Nelson and Willie Tyler all of which who are on Wikipedia then let me know who they need to email to get Mark, Ken and Tom on Wikipedia. All of them would be more than happy to let you know what these three have done for the ventriloquist community. It's hard to find references but not hard to find people that would back what I'm saying. Thank you for your time.

Only published sources can be used as references on Wikipedia, personal knowlege and unpublished documents cannot be verified so are useless here. You need to look for news or magazine articles about these people to use as sources. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 10:35, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

09:32:53, 17 April 2015 review of submission by TAPNorton[edit]

I seem to be going round and round in circles. I have written my article twice. My user name is TAPNorton and the article title is Third Age Press. I have saved it as a draft but cannot find it. I have been told (1) that my submission was empty and now (2) my draft has been moved (but where to?) and (3) that it has been deleted.

TAPNorton (talk) 09:32, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your article is here Draft:Third Age Press though with no references and a promotional tone it is unlikely to be accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 10:20, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted an article. It shows as accepted: Your submission at Articles for creation: C47-65ARTP has been accepted

However, the links does not lead to the article I submitted. In fact, that article is gone. When i go to my sandbox, I get this message: This is a redirect from a page that has been moved (renamed).

I don't know what that means, or why it has been redirected. there is no explanation. and, in fact, the link provided there, is STILL not to my article.

I'm ripping my hair out here, since this whole system seems geared towards the techsavvy. And noobs are left to fend for themselves.

no reasons are given for things that happen, and it's like swimming through molasses to try and figure anything out.

can someone PLEASE just tell me why the hell my original article is gone, and has been replaced by something which is not mine. i'm gonna lose my ish.Gothcatgirl (talk) 11:04, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Gothcatgirl (talk) 11:04, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

When you click on C47-65ARTP it takes you to Douglas DC-3, but at the top it says "(Redirected from C47-65ARTP)", and if you click on the link there it takes you to the redirect page, including the article history. - David Biddulph (talk) 11:59, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

13:04:27, 17 April 2015 review of submission by Mfnorton[edit]

I wanted to check on my re-submission of an article to be sure I have resubmitted it correctly. I have added many additional links to the draft and just want to be sure that it is actually in the que for review as I thought I submitted it over a week ago. Could you please let me know if I re-submitted it properly and if so, when I might expect to hear back? This is the link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Martin_Fleming Thank you, Maureen Norton Mfnorton (talk) 13:04, 17 April 2015 (UTC) Mfnorton (talk) 13:04, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was correctly submitted on the 7th, so it's currently in the "10 day old" category. By the way I have moved the Education section to before the Career section, as biographies should be broadly chronological, I fixed the "level" of the section headings and added a References section. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 14:43, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
no Declined @Mfnorton: Unusually for me I have re-reviewed a draft. I have left a major comment about referencing on it. There is work to be done here. Fiddle Faddle 13:20, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 14:36:52, 17 April 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Aaryesdee[edit]

The content what I posted here was my own, but used also in my website. Therefore I shall change the same.

Aaryesdee (talk) 14:36, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Aaryesdee No, it must not be the same, that is exactly why it cannot be accepted. With only a few exceptions Wikipedia may not contain direct copies of text that has been published anywhere else. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 07:58, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 16:11:40, 17 April 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by F&ME01[edit]

I need assistance in how to get my article approved. How do I edit my article so it doesn't include copyrighted work?

F&ME01 (talk) 16:11, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@F&ME01: You make something simple sound very complex. You must know from where you copied the material. What you need to do is remove it. 100% of your article must be in your own words. We also do not accept close paraphrasing.
Now, if I have missed your real question, please place a reply in this section. You do not need a new section to reply. Fiddle Faddle 08:26, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If I was to get the permission of the person whose information it is, then will my article be approved?

Perhaps yes, and perhaps no. At any rate, they would need to agree to the requirements at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials and would need to carry out the relevant steps listed there. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 08:26, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

19:31:08, 17 April 2015 review of submission by Jmiltonlewis[edit]

I have tried to submit this article multiple times and have had it rejected on three separate occasions as well as have had Financial Guard excluded from the list of notable robo-advisors. This company has been listed in articles by Kiplinger, the Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg. The following is the article I tried to submit, I still cannot find any "advertisment". I believe Dharma blue works for a rival company and is actively trying to prevent this article.

Please do not post draft content here

Financial Guard (Disambiguation)

Company Overview Financial Guard is an SEC registered online investment advisory company with offices in Salt Lake City, UT and Columbus, OH. Founded in 2010, Financial Guard launched their online investment advisory service to the public 2013. As of 2014, Financial Guard uses aggregation technology to allow users to bring all of their investment accounts into one place and provides recommendations on what to buy, sell, and hold in order to optimize their portfolios while reducing fees for their customers. The site is geared towards both retail and institutional customers. Financial Guard was featured as “Best of the Online Investment Advisors” by Kiplinger magazine in 2014. Financial Guard is backed financially by Cherokee and Walker of Salt Lake City, Utah and is led by its President, Kevin Pohmer, formerly of JP Morgan.

Technology Financial Guard’s technology provides individual investors with a portfolio assessment grade (‘A’ – ‘F’), examines over 28,000 mutual funds and ETFs every month and assigns each fund a grade (‘A’-‘F’) leveraging a peer-to-peer analysis of the available funds in its asset class (large cap, mid cap, international bonds, etc.) so that individual investors have full transparency into the investments they hold and can assess the recommendations the technology is providing when comparing cost and performance. The Financial Guard site uses SSL encryption in order to protect sensitive data.

Advice Methodology The advice given by Financial Guard’s website is driven by an algorithim based on Modern Portfolio Theory and the academic research of the PhDs and CFAs that reside on Financial Guard’s Investment Committee. Andrew Holmes, Dept of Finance Head at Brigham Young University, Craig Israelsen, author of the 7/Twelve Portfolio, and Royce West, employee at Ohio State Teachers Retirement System all contributed to the Investment Committee. The proportion of asset class exposure is dependent on the individual investors specific responses to their profile questionnaire that assesses age, risk, views of the market and investment preference. Financial Guard’s unique technology allows investors the choice to invest with low cost ETFs or actively managed mutual funds.

@Jmiltonlewis: I have pinged Dharmablues to notify them of your comment here. It is extremely unethical to make an accusation, especially on a public noticeboard, and to attack another editor in this manner. Please do not ever do it again. Read WP:AGF and pull your horns in
I have collapsed the draft text that you brought here. Why did you do that? That was a rhetorical question. Please treat it as a rebuke.
I note that Draft:Financial Guard (United States) is pending review, and that you only resubmitted it for tis yesterday. Why is this so urgent? A bleat such as this is unlikely to hasten a review, and will almost certainly precipitate a nit-picking one when it happens.
So, be patient, cease accusing folk of things, and relax. You might even start to enjoy yourself. Fiddle Faddle 07:35, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
no Declined You seem to have misunderstood the prior reviewer's comments. You provided references of a sort, but not ones that helped verify any notability. I have left you a fuller comment on your draft. Fiddle Faddle 07:47, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
