11:00:07, 3 November 2014 review of draft by Dburns7[edit]

Is it possible to link to a disambiguation page without the disambiguation parenthetical appearing in the link? For example, Android (operating system) linking to this disambiguation page, but the link appears as just Android.

How do I pluralize a link that ends in y? For example, cosmic ray observatory as cosmic ray observatoryies but remove the "y."

Thank you. Dburns7 (talk) 11:00, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Try [[Android (operating system)|Android]].?Rankersbo (talk) 12:05, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

14:25:34, 3 November 2014 review of submission by Gtuav[edit]

I created a draft article a few days ago (Draft:Yamaha R-MAX). Another editor (I presume with higher privileges) recommended I use the aviation template; when I went to do so it appeared that he had already taken what I wrote and plugged it into the template and released the article into the wild. I'm trying to delete the draft article that still exists as it is now a duplicate--it this possible or should I just wait until somebody else cleans it up?

Gtuav (talk) 14:25, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done @Gtuav: It's not necessary to delete it -- it will automatically get deleted after six months of no activity -- but per your request I've marked the article to indicate that the author has requested deletion. An administrator should remove it shortly. --Ahecht (TALK

16:17:20, 3 November 2014 review of submission by Joshuatitsworth[edit]

I was working with Davidwr who took a break for a while. I made some changes to the page I was working on and he told me to ask for some help here. So here it is. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Vizion_Interactive. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Joshuatitsworth (talk) 16:17, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to be blunt, but my opinion is that the company is not notable by Wikipedia's standards, and nothing in the draft persuades otherwise. You could put {{subst:submit}} at the top of the draft page to resubmit it for review in order to get a third opinion though. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 07:55, 4 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 16:20:11, 3 November 2014 for assistance on AfC submission by Annaword[edit]

Hi. I am requesting assistance because I am unsure what changes are needed for my article to be approved. The latest rejection states that the article does not meet the minimum standards for inline citations. I see that the reviewer provided a helpful comment indicating I need to add references supporting information about the subject's early life. Could you provide guidance on what content within that section needs additional references and what sources might be appropriate? I included the best references I could find to support work history (not sure if they are sufficient), but I am not sure how to go about referencing birthplace/date and degrees.

I would be very grateful for any input or guidance.

Thanks so much for your help!

I am less concerned about the lack of citations for his early life. You could for instance leave out those details entirely, thus getting round the problem while leaving the narrative rather strange. More concerning is that I am not sure that the draft in its current state establishes Wolf's notability by Wikipedia's standards. The vast majority of the references are press releases or based on press releases, and such material is of no use in establishing notability. See Wikipedia:VRS.
