Articles for creation/Werner Theunissen (Music Composer)[edit]

Hi please refer to my new article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Werner_Theunissen_%28Music_Composer%29 on Werner Theunissen who was Music Composer and songwriter of the famous 70s Dutch pop band Pussycat which broke a world record with highest sales made in 1977 with single called 'Mississippi' and a series of other hits songs in the following years for the band, all equally famous. The band won a series of prestigious awards particularly Conamus Export Price because of the great compositions of this one man.

I request your kind approval. If there are any short comings please do let me know. So I may improve the article further. Please also refer to another article of mine which is related to this one and has been approved. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Will%C3%A9

Hello Cynthiapinto123, thanks for your message. Your article is in a queue for review and will be dealt with in due course. Unfortunately there is a backlog at present, so it may take a while. When it is reviewed you will recive a note on your talkpage and feedback on the article itself. Depending on the nature of the results of the review the feedback may be personal and specific, or it may be a standard note in a box. Rankersbo (talk) 07:14, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, Prashant nandre, do you have a question we can help you with? Rankersbo (talk) 12:30, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I proposed the article with the above title but was declined because, if I understand well, it lacks the following: "Find sources: "Manuel João Ramos" – news · books · scholar · JSTOR · free images " Is it possible to offer further directions so that I can revise and resubmit the article with success? Thanks Bramblrgough

The problem is that you have not included any reliable references. Without references we cannot verify that the information in the submission is fact and the reviewers cannot make a determination of the subject's notability. Please add some references in a form other than external body-text links. See WP:INTREF for help in adding references. Bellerophon talk to me 15:39, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please help me understand what is missing from this article? There are numerous citations from reputable sources (The New York Press, Village Voice, Smithsonian Folkways, etc.). Several of the articles clearly explain that Campbell is from a well known and highly regarded family of bluegrass musicians and is himself a published author, illustrator, and established musician. It's frustrating because I've looked at scores of Wiki articles that are published with much lower standards of citation and are clearly advertisements. It seems clear to me that Campbell meets the standards of notability.

Please help.

Thank you,

Travis

I don't have a problem with the references currently shown in the submission. However, there is a large amount of quoted text that has simply been reproduced from various reviews and I find this more concerning. Quoted text should be kept to a minimum, two or three short reviews could well lend encyclopaedic weight to the article but when it almost makes up entire sections it just becomes promotional padding. At least half of the current quoted text (perhaps more) should be cut out and replaced with informative writing in your own words. Bellerophon talk to me 15:52, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering if I inserted the JPG file correctly into the file Alexander I. Roitbak: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Alexander_I._Roitbak — Preceding unsigned comment added by Troitbak (talkcontribs) 18:40, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you are not able to upload media (including images) to Wikipedia yet, as your account is too new. My advice would be to continue working on the text of your submission until such time as it is accepted and published to main space; then you will be able to upload media.
