Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Brixton Publications[edit]

Hello,

On November 3, 2012 I resubmitted my article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Brixton_Publications after making corrections and additions for the citations as suggested by several editors. To date the article is still sitting on the same page for review. Is the article positioned on the correct page, or is there a greater than normal backlog for reviews?

Hello Sue, the article is correctly submitted for review, but there's indeed a massive backlog of more than a thousand unreviewed submissions. I'm not sure whether that's greater than normal or just the new normal; anyway, I expect your draft will be reviewed in a few days - the oldest unreviewed submissions date from early November.

However, I still don't think the draft's sources are sufficient to establish Brixton Publications' notability. The licensing agency and Brixton's own catalog are not independent sources (and the licensing agency doesn't mention Brixton anyway), and I have severe doubts about the founder's papers available at the Lakeland library. They don't seem to be independent either, and whether the fact that they apparently are physically available in the Lakeland city library counts as "publication" in the first place is also debatable. I don't think readers not physically in Lakeland will have any chance to look them up, probably not even through interlibrary loan. That leaves a single independent published source, and that's usually not considered enough to establish a topic's notability. Has the company received some coverage in newspapers? That would help. Help in locating Filipino rock band The Jargons that performed at club Champion in Koza Okinawa '71-'72[edit]

I was stationed at MCAS Futenma Okinawa from 1971 through 1972 and became friends with band members from a rock band called the Jargons whom performed at a nightclub on Gate-2 Street in Koza Okinawa.
