March 29[edit]

We, the A&R staff of Keith Stalcup, just want to help him and his colleague Clay Walker, spread awareness of the Multiple Sclerosis Society because it is very under represented in the nation health care scheme for research. It's sad and grounding to see such talent taken from us by a disease like that. Is there anyone in your organization that would help us to get these facts to to your researchers? Keith doesn't even want to be published more than he already is but is willing to forgo more of his privacy if it will help the cause. Thank you in advance for your help, and we truly apologize for our ignorance in the academic portal of research submissions, but we are, after all, musicians.I hope that explains it. We've been accused of only being able to count to four and taught to not trust anyone that doesn't have a guitar in their hands...68.185.137.123 (talk) 03:28, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. As much as my heart is with you and wish you the best, I must also remind you that WP is an encyclopedia, and an article cannot be used to promote a cause, however worthy it is. It must remain impartial and neutral. If Keith is notable (WP:NM), then you must write the article stating only the facts, one of which is his battle against MS. If you really want this article to stay on WP, you must make it neutral (WP:NPOV). Wish you all the best. Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 09:01, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Wikipedia talk:Articles for Creation/Sotheby's Institute of Art

Hi there,

Considering that there are not a number of articles written about Sotheby's Institute out there, I am having trouble finding "independent" sources for this entry. Can you please provide more specific feedback about what I am doing wrong?

Thanks. Gardner.ae (talk) 13:31, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because schools and universities of this type are almost always considered inherently notable, I have accepted the submission. I would still encourage you to look up more references, but it is now located here. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 14:44, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

My article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Young Hogs was reviewed but the reviewer left the comment that it was not in the correct format. However, they did not say what format it should be in or where in my formatting I went wrong. Could you please explain.

Thanks Daryl King (72.204.53.37 (talk) 13:47, 29 March 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Hi there Daryl, and thank you for your submission :) In this case, that really wasn't a very good decline reason since the format was a very minor issue. The article is a little on the promotional side ("...STILL at the top of their game.", "...most visually appealing pieces of art...") and your references are a little vague. Was is "Jones (5 March 2006). "Them Hogs"" supposed to mean? Is it a website, book, magazine? Who is Jones? Please expand your references, remove any unsourced material that could be considered promotional and resubmit. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 14:38, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Layout is fine now, do what Nolelover said, and I agree with him, layout is not a very good reason for declining. Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 15:17, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

Upon the edited content, could you tell me specifically what information needs to be changed, modified so my submission will be accepted. I've tightened up the content so it only provides basic information about the company, Galleria Retail Technology Solutions, and the services it provides. Thank you! Ronwhittington (talk) 14:39, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have more notable sources? And also try in-line citation rather than putting all the references at the end. Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 15:18, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Omer Pardillo Cid[edit]

Hi, I need to know why this article is not meeting Wikipedia requirements... Please advise... Thanks! Indirus (talk) 16:02, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The reviewer declined your submission for not using footnotes, which I can see you've tried to add to the article. You've done well with the footnotes, hoever they do need a little bit of work, as the method you used isn't displaying them quite correctly.
I have fixed the first reference for you so you can see the format you need to use, it's just a little tweaking you need to do to them, then you can resubmit. Something that might help you with referencing, is by activating the 'Citation expander' gadget in your preferences (located at Special:Preferences). This will help you fill out refs in the right format. - Happysailor (Talk) 16:50, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How do I post this article for review?

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP Jgraves65 (talk) 17:58, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

All you hafta do is add {{subst:submit}} to the top. It will go into the queue, and be reviewed within a day or two :) Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:16, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I've been trying to get my submission Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/EFILM approved but to no avail thus far. I've cited what I thought were appropriate, independent and reliable references, but when I attempted to resubmit I was again told that the references weren't good enough. I sent an email to the help desk last week, but I never received a response. I also tried a live chat with the help desk and was told that I was informed that there was some sort of copyright violation (?), but the help desk rep never clarified and stopped responding to me so I dropped off and here I am. Please advise me on how to proceed. We'd like to get this article approved as soon as possible.Jeremymonsayac (talk) 19:41, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, your submission was deleted because apparently it was an "unambiguous copyright violation", which essentially means that we had to completely nuke it and you need to start over. Because I'm not an admin, I can't comment on the validity of the copyright problem but I very seriously doubt that it would have been deleted if the admin didn't know that it was completely useless for Wikipedia. The only thing I can advise you to do is rewrite it in your own words and resubmit. You can ask the deleting admin, CactusWriter, to clarify the copyright issues if you like. I submitted a revised article. I hope you received it for consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cwpurdom123 (talkcontribs) 22:07, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It has been reviewed and declined. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:35, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

how long at the most will it take for it to be a real artical? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.48.164.106 (talk) 22:16, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it has been declined so it will take as long as it takes you to solve any problems. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:33, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

how do you add cateogories? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Myronorfield (talkcontribs) 22:24, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have accepted the article. Congratulations :) Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:42, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Myronorfield, On Wikipedia, adding categories to an article is quite easy; you just have to activate Hotcat. 1) Go to Special:Preferences, 2) From top toolbar, click Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets, 3) Under "Editing" check "Hotcat" 4) Press "Save" 5) Clear Your Browser Cache. Once you have done this, when you view the article on the bottom there should be a categorization widget; you just need to click the plus sign to add categories. I hope that helps. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ian K'ser — Preceding unsigned comment added by IAN K'SER (talkcontribs) 21:38, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anything specific you would like to ask about this submission? If you are just looking for general help, I must point out that you really don't have any sources. Every article on Wikipedia must be supported by multiple reliable, independent sources that discusses the subject in detail. Please add those sources, and resubmit. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:20, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ii is not easy to do alone . How about if you narrow down my article witlhout sources only lik e basic situation so this way you help me othervise it takes forever to work on it. Thank you yanski 22:54, 29 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by IAN K'SER (talkcontribs)

I'm sorry, but even if I "narrow it down" you will still need sources. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 23:44, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the best solution I thought is to write a basic short informational article. So, wrote in the userpage not in the sandbox in userpage. Please I try to make it short hope you take care of it . Thank yu for your help. Your job is hard and incredible yanski 02:17, 30 March 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by IAN K'SER (talkcontribs)

That version looks much better, but would still need sources. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 22:54, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
