I have submitted an article for review concerning a BBC 4 series. It is music-related and warrants an entry, in my opinion, but I am only doing it with the intention of creating a "stub", that others more qualified than I can complete/add-to. There are a number of musicians already featured in the Wiki pages who have participated in the series (Transatlantic Sessions) and many of them contain references to the series in their discographies, etc., but there is currently no entry for the series itself.
Q:Is that acceptable/correct as a stub? Should I fill it out more?

- Even a stub requires reliable sources that are independent of the subject to establish its notability. Also, the "please order here" link makes the draft look like an advertisement, not a Wikipedia article. Huon (talk) 12:02, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. I've removed the "please order here"-looking link and text and just added the link as an External reference, using examples cut-'n-pasted from other live entries to get the format right (I'm a first-timer). Delay in creation of page User:Aloak1/Umra Narayan[edit]
my question is with respect to my article /page User:Aloak1/Umra Narayan which was sent to review on 15 july 2012, it has been about a week now . When will my page pe published/created by your goodself.

- That draft has been reviewed on July 14; unfortunately it could not be published because it did not cite any reliable sources. We need significant coverage in such sources to establish the topic's notability and to allow our readers to verify the article's content. Maybe there's some newspaper coverage of the temple and its role in the Nirmal Gram Award? Huon (talk) 12:02, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
Sir the temple is located in the inner core of one of the rural districts of uttarakhand and please consider the thing that in india media only covers those articles in which they can make most of the profits and then viewership.This temple has lots of religious attachments with people of gram sann and nearby outskirts of rudraprayag dist.AS per nirmal gram award was awarded in the year 2008 and it would be very difficult to gather this information .Whereas if any information regarding this temple is found wrong i am ready for any type of punishments.But plz don't be an obstacle towards our great affinity to our devine lord .
Dear Wikipeople,
I need help regarding Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Henry Oberlander. After I created it, I found out someone already did it few years ago. The submission was declined, due to a lack of notability, not enough external resources to cite from.
But this is exactly the catch 22: A con man that shook the banking world in the late 70's, is not noted anywhere - except an article in two newspapers (not front page) and a talk on TED.
I hope that the Wikipedia article would help to get more sources - as the subject is to big to get such small results. How can we keep this article alive albeit the poor sources? Is it hopeless?

- There is no inherent reason why little information should be available on convicted fraudsters - compare Bernard Madoff. If Oberlander is notable only in connection with that fraud and nothing else is known about him, it may be better to write an article on the fraud itself than on him. Also, Oberlander might still be alive; then our policy on biographies of living people applies, and remarks about the "fraudulent nature of his life and work" would definitely need to be backed up by a secondary source. Schlanger's IMBD bio has been included in the references as well. Everything else is noted in factual documents among the references. He does what they say he does across multiple national platforms which we believe makes him notable.
